Engwe Engine Pro Electric Bike

Today I'm going to review an electric bike from one of the most well known brands, that ENGWE and this is the Engine Pro. Has a 750 watt rear hub motor that can peak at over 1,000 watts. Has an 8 speed Shimano shifter, dual hydraulic disc brakes, has 5 pedal assist modes and 3 different power modes, ECO, Normal and Sport. One cool thing is that the rear motor also has a regenerative feature that when coasting, it will put power back into the battery.

Upright handlebars are a nice cruising around feature.
You're definitely on the tall side of that range! 😎
I've ridden Kelly's Engwe Engine V2 and it felt pretty good.
I didn't notice the seat issue you mentioned, but I suppose we are all built different. 😅

Hey Kris, yes having handlebars upright makes riding more comfortable. Regarding the seat, maybe they use different seats for different bikes and this thing is stiff.

Nice review and bike. Your Mrs. is a natural on camera. What camera were you using on the bike?

Yes she's a natural on camera for sure and I like it when she or my daughter "want" to help out. I was using the Insta360 Ace Pro mounted on my chest and the Go 3S on my helmet and the DJI Mic 2 for audio.

Doesn't the seat have an angle adjustment underneath? All our bikes do and no prostate poking. The fender noise actually sounds kind of cool, V8 V12?🤣 Awesome intro shots ! 35kg seems kind of hefty, and it's the fault of the folding frame. Otherwise I would say decent bike. There's a 2000W version in China , the 1000W version is US$ 532, the 2000W US$673. Markup for US sales seems reasonable.
OEM manufacturing is super common, one factory builds for many brands, think laptops and now even cars in China. Geely owns and makes Geely, Polestar, Volvo, Zeekr, Lotus and then some.

Wow that's great pricing and I can't image the power of a 2000 watt bike, I'm really starting to enjoy riding these e-bikes, very convenient to get around, well, except in the heat here

YES!!!! Hydraulic brakes ROCK. Humm, I would give the edge to the Senada and this one a very close second and the Hitway a 3rd, so far 😎
