David Longdon was in the running to replace Phil Collins on vocals for their last studio album, Calling All Stations. It’s a great what-if rumination. Also, Nick D’Virgilio played drums on some of the tracks on that release. David’s voice is one of the best I’ve ever heard.

More of this amazing band - and they recreate this onstage even now. I think VOYAGER benefits most from the remaking process. You should look at UNDERFALL YARD too as so many of the classic BBT tracks are on there - or any of the live albums which are incredible.

Brilliant album by a brilliant band. Interested in what you think of the next track Atlantic Cable. I love it but wish the new singer Alberto’s voice was higher up in the mix.

Voyager. Quite possibly my favourite BBT track...I love the way the music carries you on just Voyager on its endless journey. So captivating.

Hi Jim,
I remember both Voyagers being launched. And both Pioneer spacecraft in the early seventies.
I can even remember seeing the first moon landing live on tv 👨🏼‍🦳. Yes, I fact anything space (still) has my interest since seeing that landing.
Great music by Big Big Train although I like the previous record (side 1and 2) a tiny bit more.

You mentioned that you have both English Electric CDs. Those 2 were the ones that introduced me to BBT. I fell in love with this group after 1 listen. Your right, it brings you back to that golden era of prog with the wonderful stories and the Gabrielish voice. Like Genesis and Yes, sound just as good live. Thanks Jim for introducing this band to a lot of hungry people searching for great music.
