So the basic changes are: Laser-cut MOLLE Rigid EVA case hi-viz interior 500 denier fabric mixed with 1000 denier at "friction points"...probably to cut down in weight slightly. Looks like good, high quality gear. Don't know if the updates will get people to replace their old Falcons or Jumbos. Good demo. Thanks!
To many "features" like transitions from 1000d to 500d for no obvious reason than looks, that makes the bag more expensive and weaker really, because the stitches will always be weaker. For me form follows function, and from my perspective, many of the new "features" are all about looks. The new ripstock only makes the bags look good and more expensive. The seatbelt webbing for example is a good change. Not saying that those are bad bags, only that some things seem "gimmicky" to ME. I like a bag more like TAD gear bags for example.
Quick comparison of the new Maxpedition AGR vs old time-proven Legacy items: AGR Wolfsprur Versipack ($152.99) = JUMBO ($102.99): 49% price increase AGR Riftcore backpack ($219.99) = FALCON-II ($173.99): 26% price increase AGR IronStorm duffel ($265.99) = Duppelduffel ($224.99): 18% price increase AGR Gridflux Gearslinger ($162.99) = SITKA ($144.99): 13% price increase Like I've pointed out, the new AGR is created by fashion designers, and offers NO substantial material / design upgrades to justify the price increase. There’re so many options out there, and judging from Tim’s “over-promise, under-deliver” history, I’d suggest look elsewhere.
I wish they would build a smaller shoulder bag for us that want to conceal carry without all the extra features that make you look like your on a SWAT team.
Always love the durability and functionality of Maxpedition. Is there any chance in the future of rolling out a few styles for civilian market? The MOLLE is too standout and I'm sure I'm not the only one who want a more low profile style. I own a Pygmy Falcon II for my bug out bag and am thinking to switch it to some other less aggressive style bags.
My urban Go Bag/Get Home Bag is the Maxpedition Textudo Laptop Backpack bag in non-tactical sexy black. Tethered to the outside of the bag from the large D-Ring is a Retractable ID Tether tethered to a Fox40 rape whistle (per TH-cam channel "Nutnfancy"). The bag fits a 17" or smaller laptop and the large inside pocket fits the AR500 soft Backpack Level IIIA Armor (for use in "Gun Free Zones" like schools or the VA) and the bag is set up to be TSA, school and VA friendly. In one of the two outside pockets is a Streamlight Stylus Pro LED flashlight to see inside the dark black bag. Waiting on back order from Going Gear the Maxpedition RFID Blocking Wallet in sexy black for IDs and a credit card sized Fresnel Lens to start fires and read the micro-print info sheet for the Fire Kit. Thank you for the video ! tjl
hmmm. My old crappy suitcase is falling apart. I think that Ironstorm will be a must have.

+dajolaw What it looks to me is too many "gimmicky" features, that only complicate the bags and make them more expensive.
