Great video. Lots of shop work. Timely that you got through all the harvest before having major work to do. That combine is used but continues to get the job done. Your family and crew are awesome!!!!!
I think you were blessed with that combine work as to not having to pull the engine, wheels, and everything else, to get one part off. You have a dream setup for farming!
Andy I think that combine has served you well. I’m sure that harvesting the high moisture corn causes extra wear on the parts that are prone to wearing. I’m very impressed that you and you crew take on these big repairs. With the high cost of new machines it pays to keep the old ones running as long as mother Deere has the parts. Enjoy your videos very much. Happy Holidays to you and your family.
When you reinstall the vertical auger it’s actually timed with the horizontal unload auger. I don’t recall if they touch if they’re not timed but it won’t carry grain well. It’ll show the procedure in the service manual. Sorry if you mentioned it or knew that already. Cheers Andy!
Wow that was some undertaking! For half way. Hope the reinstall goes smoothly , the combine sure gets a whole lot of love. Thanks for sharing 👍 Merry Christmas, peace and tranquility on the farm.
I'd hate to think of the acres your machine has covered. With some TLC and new parts the old girl should be good to go another harvest season. Replaced the vertical auger, housing, and elbow on our IH 1460...not a cheap repair, but really pumped grain out when we were done. Great that you have the ability to do these upgrades/repairs yourselves. Labor at dealer shops is pretty pricey.
Haven't watched ya in a while Andy, but when I check back in with ya, ya never disappoint me on the misery you tackle. We had that same exact job done on our 9500 several years ago at Lakeland in Avon. After watching and seeing what you guys went through on this one...they earned their money. Back then (around 2010 ?) greedy HOG Deere listed that Charge-Housing for $2k....I'd hate to know what it goes for today. Back then we were around $8500 for complete rebuild of unload system. That included large horizontal and vertical augers, tank augers, steel weld-in liner kit, all new bearings, new right angle gear box at top transition, charge housing, and labor...I think they also did our shoe auger bearings and added 2nd set of wooden blocks to the inside bearing end of the shoe augers too...all in that price. Hope you guys have a Merry Christmas.
Great video again with the "adventure" going after the repair. Would like to see Sarah a bit warmer standing outside, and think she needs a heated vest like Ororo has available. My wife enjoyed such a heated device for comfort. You have a great crew obviously interested in helping you getRdun when the need arises.
Merry Christmas to you and the family, Andy. It is always a pleasure to watch your videos. I honestly don’t think there is anything you and your family and employees can’t fix or build.
The latest is that the guy in South Dakota who owned this got "2 full price offers" of $249,000 which is what it costs when the calendar said it was both new and bought.
I agree completely and was just mentioning that point with a buddy. He thought there should be a price adjustment up as well due to inflating, worth less dollars which ain't like they used to be that's for sure!! Plastic still on the seats in a new/old Deere combine is as impressive as plastic still on the seats of any new/old muscle car cool is cool!!@ghammond3132
At 2:00. The in side of that flange is under cut might want to weld that up...😊😊..i m think n the race is on if you or duffy ag can ware out a combine an retire it to the scrap heap.. 😂😂😂😂
No way I would put that back together with out changing the bearings in the vertical drive. Had to do my 9550. In season took a couple days to get it done.
Good thing yuns can work on your own equipment the labor cost of rebuilding it would be outrageous. Merry Christmas to you and your family, are you going to have a round table with the family on Christmas eve ?
Looks like it just made it through harvest without letting go, nice to have a bit of luck every now and again. And a question about using sand, the sand seems to wear everything it touches really quickly and with the cost of parts being so high would it not be cheaper and easier on the equipment for you to use chopped straw for the bedding?
Sand doesn't hold bacteria like straw or sawdust or wood shavings. So as the cows lie in the stalls their udders are lying in the part of the stall that may have manure and therefore that area is loaded with bacteria which in tern causes mastitis. Sand is also cooler and more comfortable for the cows.
@@jeramy2398John Deere still makes the T670 walker combine. Not a common model, but they've been selling it since about 2009 so there's used ones to be found.
Thanks Andy, that was a good job. As a retired dairy and grain farmer I enjoy all of your videos.
Hi Andy !
Good job everybody !

Merry Christmas Andy
Hi Andy! I wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year full of success! The team is great!!
Is all that work on the farm family members .
I love watching all the repairs that you do
Not all
This defines perseverance !

Because he's The Jack of All Trades & The Master of None
Timely video. We have a 9600 with the same issue. Nice to see what we are up against.
Tks for sharing Mr Andy. It looks like it's pretty much a big undertaking to work on new equipment these days?
I would take a good look at the feeder house. The bottom sheetmetal takes a betting.
Marry Christmas to you and the family and the crew.
Good job Andy
Great video John Deer should pay for the use of it to show how to repair the machine great team by your team👍🚜
You only replace the auger, when you can shave with the fligting on the auger.
I had tailings elevator off on my 6620 replaced upright unload auger wasnt to bad
Machinery Pete found a brand new 9570 combine never used, crazy how the farmer bought it never used it...great vid 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I know the farm. Farm over 3000 acres and have it custom combined. Bought for taxes!! Lol
Andy rest you are always working . I just understand. I worked on a farm but you need to spend more time with the family!!

Wow
Hope you timed the vertical and horizontal augers when you reassembled. Guess we will find out next video😂
Merry Christmas Andy. How many separator hours on the combine?
Over 3000
Merry Xmas Andy to all your family and team from down under
Another good one Andy Thanks for the video's 🐄🚜🌽🇺🇲👍
Andy, how many hours does your combine have on it? Engine and separator?
4600/3200
Most farmers would trade by then. She's had a good life in combine years!
Merry Christmas from Minnesota.

Merry Christmas happy new year to u and your family
Have you figured out why those augers would jam on you causing the chain to pop off?
They never jammed
Pedreirinha pedreirinha na manutenção é bom
Hey Andy where do you get your hydraulic pumps that you put on your solage trucks
Hydraulic warehouse supply
@@FarmingFixingFabricating thank you
There is a Lanz buldog x2 in the machine. 😅 I got this wisdom out of a bottle..
Don’t forget to time it going back in😊
If it was me I honestly would go ahead and replace all of the augers while you have it broke down like that. Doing a good job though.
I agree
power washing that shop floor would make a good video!
So did Charlotte beat Pulaski last Tuesday?
Yeah
Marry Christmas 🎄
👍

😊
Wow thats a big job
27:14 Sarah looks cold.
Merry Christmas
Some people would have got there dealer to do that 😊 But you would like it done and done wright.
The Hourigan shop probably doesn't charge $200/ hour either.
That is a big can of worms. Every piece you take apart seems to be worn out. At least it made it through harvest.
Did you ever think about going to sawdust instead of sand be easier on your parts and equipment
No
would of thought JD would have thicker sections of metal in high wear sections.
What popped at 31:34 ?
Now the big job to get the thing fixed, end put back in place? You're walking where angels fear to tread!
By the way .... a Merry Christmas to you & your family & staff!
Good thing yuns can work on your own equipment the labor cost of rebuilding it would be outrageous. Merry Christmas to you and your family, are you going to have a round table with the family on Christmas eve ?
🇨🇦
i did that once ,you have to take the elevator off
I can see where high pressure sand paper poop could tear things up
Andy do you prefer to work alone or are you out of workers. Makes a guy think about buying used.
How old is your combine
9560s built 2004 -2007. He said 3200 separator hours in the comments.
Andy, do you have any bloopers that you would be willing to post you gotta have something I’m guessing if you do please post them
I see a 670 in the future…near future

9570 update
Looks like you are just chasing the next fix on your combine.when is it time to replace her with a new combine.
I don’t have that answer for you
The biggest problem is that no one makes a new walker combine, and rotary combines aren't as nice if baling straw.
@@jeramy2398John Deere still makes the T670 walker combine. Not a common model, but they've been selling it since about 2009 so there's used ones to be found.
@lynwessel2471 guess I've never heard or seen one. Have to look them up.
@@jeramy2398 I see Class also has the 2 6000 series walker machines.
I hope you get paid by the word… Because there was more talking than working in this video.
You are full of BS. You probably have never done anything like this,so give Andy and his crew credit for a job well done.
👍
