those John Deers brought back memories of summer harvests riding beside my Aunt M sitting on a pillow A large mason jar of cold sweet tea wrapped in a saltwater wet towel to keep it cold. to this day I like a little salty taste with my sweet tea.
I would set me up a shop at field. To where you can set up some electricity to where you can work at night. It's nice and cool.in the evenings you can get alot of work done
Hey bud. I’m gonna get with you late summer early fall and i really want a early 40s international truck to restomod. You look like you come across a lot of those. I see a couple behind you in this outro. That’s exactly what I’m looking for. So I’ve got to save my money up and find you then. I’m in north East Tennessee. Shouldn’t be too bad to get there! Have a great one and ttys.
Because the Round Top Antique Show (which includes the Warrenton) has major online presence, you might consider creating a special video compilation with clips of the pieces that will be sold. Could include removing, finding, etc. Telling the story of how the pieces get to the show. It would publicize your channel and garner interest for sales. Possibly, Antique Show would post or link from show online media. It's likely if you put Round Top Warrenton Antique Show in the title, you'll draw attention just through searches.
Do you ever get engines in there that are still turning over and still somewhat reparable? If so do you try to either part out the engines and/or sell the engines to somebody who may take them for rebuilds?
@@AdventuresMadeFromScratch Yes I could definitely imagine with the amount of stuff that you haul even in a year you definitely would not have time to find buyers for everything. And I would imagine that sometimes even if they were worth rebuilding they probably still aren't anyways because they'll be probabomatic later on
@@AdventuresMadeFromScratch thank you for answering my question. I wondered about that. They still haven't found a good use for old tires. A friend said that they have tried grinding them up and then mixed with asphalt to make roads but it didn't work.
My wife watched your video where you had your little helper (son), she said no need to seat him on the curb if your trying to get rid of him because he looks to much like you they will just find you and give him back.
Mr Silas would the 1940s federal trucks in the background be for sale ? I’m 16 and I have a 1948 18m federal and would love to have another one, thanks
So someone has probably already asked this, but shouldn't the combines and or tractors be fixable? seems to me a repair shop would want to take them off your hands. Looks to me to be a waste to get rid of all that farm equipment with the prices new and used ones are these days. Unless they all are completely unsalvageable. I do enjoy your videos. do you have an inventory of your cars and trucks for sale? Thank you Kerry
Nobody uses this old equipment except hobbyists, and you can buy it for barely over scrap price in excellent condition. If it needs any work at all no one will buy it.
Allot of farmers actually buying old john deer's/parts to fix them because John deer new trucks can't be repaired on spot and they need to wait long time for help to arrive.

Love seeing that old Ford 8N tractor in the background. Nice little tractors and many people buy them to restore and use.
Good to see your upcycling stuff!
For some reason I find this strangely satisfying.

That seat on the operators platform would make a great shop chair or creeper stool!
cant believe the amount of ag stuff good to see your upcycling stuff
that rear section of the combine would make a great rear end for a rat rod
They usually sell for door awnings but that’s a good idea
Yes I saw one off an old massey harris that worked great.
Lot of cool wall art items
Those fenders on that trailer are made very well, I have had drive over fenders before but none that good.
I love this trailer. I could have purchased a different brand for less money, but this Maxxd has taken some abuse and keeps on trucking.
Look there's enough old farm equipment around to tell the story...
But, there's not enough Old Buicks😎🍻👍💪🦅🦅🦅
Thnx!
Would like to see a video of where you say you store all the good stuff for resale.
Awesome video
It’s too hot right now to do anything but as soon as it cools off I’m going to get to work on my stuff
Keep the videos comeing, good job.
You can also get a body cam style mount
I would break my camera. I often have to lift heavy items up against my body.
@@AdventuresMadeFromScratch Yeah that's a good point lol
Metal material on the way to Japan for making Toyota and Honda.
and mazda...
If I remember correctly 67% of recycled cars go into building parts for new cars. About 25% goes into building construction materials.
@@AdventuresMadeFromScratch I would take a vehicle made out of old 60's on back vehicles and machinery any day.

Why do you sace the grain bins, control centers and discharge chutes off of the combines ?
Nice outro 👍🏿
Thank you.
I want you to come to my farm in WA!

Some, but unfortunately I don’t have time to find a buyer for everything we get

Does the salvage yard require the tires to be off the rims, and if so what can you do with the old tires. Thank you for your movies.
No, they take tires as well. I ship high volumes of steel so I can get away with a few things like that.
@@AdventuresMadeFromScratch thank you for answering my question. I wondered about that. They still haven't found a good use for old tires. A friend said that they have tried grinding them up and then mixed with asphalt to make roads but it didn't work.
Old tires can be recycled into new tires, but it is expensive, and the new tires are much less durable than tires made from fresh rubber.

I have them advertised for $5,000 for the pair
@@AdventuresMadeFromScratch thanks, where do you have them advertised so I can look at the pictures
Being a city boy, I have to ask, at what point does a combine become unuseable and require replacement?
Didn't see any buckets of water where you were oxy-cutting those steel frames on the dry grass. I'd reco having a couple of those nearby.
We had fire extinguishers but it wasn’t that dry.
What happened to the Buick California Skylark???
Still have it for now. I’m going to clean it up when I have time.
I'd like to see a shredding video
👍👍👍
leps right go hands free
What is that a blue Mercury to the right of your video at the end that looks like a pretty cool car is it in good shape
What are you doing with the plymouth grand fury I want to say 65 66 or67
You should cut the 'john Deere out for a guy to hang up...added value to your scrapping
That’s why we cut that piece off.
With your cutting torch you us propane instead of ecsetaline
Much cheaper to run propane and it lasts longer. Doesn’t cut quite as fast, but that’s not a big issue.
Get hold of "Diesel Creek" he is looking for an old transmission for a antique semi truck.

Riping it apart with log truck is easier
We’re saving pieces off of it for “rustic decor” so we have to be somewhat careful. Otherwise I’d just haul them in complete.
Wassup
I can use a cutting torch, if I was out there I would help you, and visit my ex-wife & daughter in Hutchinson ...

MOUNT THE IMITATION MACHINE GUN ON YOUR DODGE WORK HORSE
