I've seen GLI people on KET and how they approach problems in Downtown Louisville. Firstly, I'm sure everyone is sick of the spin. Downtown has major problems, and the spin never changes, the approach never changes. More of the, let's put lipstick on a pig...and pray. Turning the Humana Building into yet another Hotel is ridiculous. Yes, 4th Street needs a major overhaul. Louisville has NO main thoroughfare anymore. New people say where's the main drag, and all we have is a deserted looking, poorly maintained alleyway. It's embarrassing. They endlessly talk about housing. What about the Bus Station exit, what about Brown Brothers exit? These are two dead in the water spaces, just huge messes. What about the demolished Police Headquarters? How many years before we move to a new space that barely rivals a city like Evansville. And, that is not accounting all the other vacant lots and buildings like Bank of Louisville. Fix what is still standing before tearing another building down. Some people remember Urban Renewal and how Louisville looked in the early 70's, leveled like Dresden, which took decades to recover from. Actually, we are yet to fully recover from it.

The locals know to stay out of downtown if they value their life! 😂
