- I got a chance to review and drive one of the most ridiculous C8 Corvettes on the planet. Listen to the custom Procharger scream right behind my head as I rip down the streets in this one of a kind beast. Every detail has been thought of and it came together beautifully. C8 looks much better when it's in a racecar form. It masks the ugly shapes and proportions a bit.

I mean there are twin turbo c8 pushing major boost already. This procharger can be turned up to 10psi easily.
I mean it's probably missing the aftermarket piggyback ECU to tune it and the modded DCT. That combo isn't cheap.
@@ssoffshore5111 def the case I was looking to twin turbo a c8 and it’s like 60k to do it the right way. You need a motec, fueltech, haltec, tranny built and motor built as well as the turbos fuel system etc. a lot more to it then just even aftermarket standalone ecu and the tranny… fuel, cooling, engine internals, heads, axles, and whatever else fails or breaks at that level lots of trial and error especially now since there new to mods still
They have a stage 2 adding 245 hp running 8psi of boost per procharger
@@yeezydidit Sounds like a lot of the stuff that was changed for the Z06 from the regular C8. A lot of people think the engine is the major difference but the whole car has been upgraded to handle it.

For the price of the c8’s right now and having to spend the extra money to sc it and voiding the warranty = I’m glad I went with my 2020 mlcaren 600 . Got it used from the uk with 3.4K miles for under 200k
Lingenfelter has a $20,000 kit for C8. That's installed with Lingenfelter tune.

Have a similar looking one with Forgiatos and maybe a little even more Carbon Fiber if that’s believable. Did heads, cats, titanium xpipe, ported intake and throttlebody. Sounds unbelievable. Just hadn’t done turbos or PC yet because of the lack of tuning and well the cost too. 15k for 5lbs boost isn’t too economical.

The C8 is a beautiful ride. A lot of carbon fiber. I believe you mentioned Carbon Fiber in each descriptive sentence but it looks good. I'm not a fan of the Japanese red Skyline type rims. Horsepower wasn't mentioned, but I'm wondering if the engine internals and drive train especially it's DTC were upgraded to handle the Pro-Chargers boost. Not sure if this car was built for 1/4 trips or the track. It will be interesting following up on how well this C8 performs. I'm big fan of the Pro-Charger and seeing it used for the first time on a stock C8 is a fantastic find. Thanks RacerX for sharing this one of a kind C8. Nice Review!
He will turn it up later .. no dyno numbers just! The DCT is the weak link at this point so it will need to get built prior to raising the boost

About 25 years ago they were some of the lightest rims you could buy,and I don't doubt how light they'd be today.

It’s not a convertible. That’s the coupe. That’s why you can see the engine. The hard top convertible the engine isn’t visible

TJ Hunts girlfriend has a C8 with Cold Racing TE-37's on it. They're not red, but bronze. She's had them for a while now.
Agreed, plenty of TE-37s for C8s on the road but this is the only set of Hyper Red until later this year.

yes,i agree i was more into a z06 or zr1 but this c8 is special. how much power is it making?
With the conservative amount of boost...I'd say it's making say 35‐40٪ more than base. So an easy 650-675 bhp. Nothing to sneeze at!!

Awesome. I am getting the Procharger installed in my 2022 Z51 HTC up here in BC by Outrun Mfg.. He is doing some work on it this Wed.: spacers and lowering it 3/4 inch. and installing Paragon after market exhaust. I love dealing and so does Outrun with Paragon. Wish me luck.

I've always been a fan of centrifugal superchargers, minus the cost to power ratios, at least in the platforms I was running. I remember wanting a Novi 2000 so bad for one of my cars but after realizing the rarity of parts vs a standard m90 blower or turbo I decided to forgo it. A decision I sort of regret to this day due to its rarity.
What scares me on that setup is how much the belt is off the cog wheel, it appears close to 30% off the cog belt drive. Probably not an issue but just looking at it gives me the squirts.

Steel Panther is sort of a Van Halen knock off/tribute style sounding band IMO. They play their own adult content songs and do some great cover tunes. To some, their music would be offensive, but I personally like their style and sound. They are all talented with the instruments they play. Michael Starr sounds a lot like David Lee Roth and is a great front man. Satchel (Russ Parrish) is phenomenal on guitar. Lexxi Foxx is ???? Lexxi Foxx - give him a mirror and he is good to play another set. And Stix Zadinia, the name is somewhat suggestive, I’m somewhat sure it’s a Stage Monicker, his parents didn’t give him that as a birth name I hope!
The car looks very menacing in black and that Procharger “Is Dope” (As they say now as a positive term!), but I’m not a fan of the Red Wheels sorry to say, just IMHO. I would have gone with a black wheel set or bright chrome, but to each his own. At least we are somewhat free to enjoy V8s for a little while longer! Soon, you won’t hear anything except the sound generated by the tires doing a burnout or coming to a screeching halt!
Glad I grew up in the old muscle car days. My first car that I learned to drive on was a 1960 Red Pontiac Bonnieville Convertible. I think it had a 389 in it. It was a 2 barrel, but it would still go quite well.
I took my PA drivers test in a big boat: Buick Electra 225. The Trooper that gave me the test was impressed as most kids he said tried to have the smallest car they had access to, making parallel parking easier.
Then, for my High School Graduation Present, I was very fortunate! My parents bought me a brand new off the dealership showroom floor, a 1973 Brown 340 Cuda!
Sticker was just over $4,000, but my dad had a buddy that had a used car lot and he did a lot of deals with the Plymouth Dealership. He was able to get us a deal for $3,400 on the Cuda.
I was thrilled to get that car prior to graduation because I got to drive it to High School.
(Funny thing was, I could see the High School from my house.)
But I got to take my girlfriend home and/or hit the McDonalds with my buddies after school.
Of course later in life, I wished I would have been born a few years earlier to have had a 1970 Cuda or Challenger with a 426 Hemi or a 440 Six Pack!
As of today, my new 2022 C8 HTC would outperform any of those “Muscle Cars” at the strip, stop light to stop light and in cornering. I never believed we would see the kind of horsepower numbers we have in current vehicles. Even some every day grocery getters can run times in the 13s and maybe better! Who thought years ago there would be a car capable of doing 0 to 60 in under 3 seconds?
What is the 0 to 60 time for the Procharger C8?
Or is hooking up a problem?
Can the transmission handle the increased horsepower and torque?

I’m on a list at MacMulkin, but I got in late so I’m way down past 1650. I have 4 years or better I bet until I may see an allocation, but with all the problems facing the ZO6, production may be very limited and may not run for too many years. I’ve got P C, been on Chemo 3 years, so I may not live that long to ever see it. MacMulkin claims they will sell at MSRP. I will enjoy my 2022 C8 HCT I got at MSRP while I can.
I kept my 2009 C6 Z51 - the dealership told me “we can’t give you what you want for your car”. No price was even given on the thought of trade, but with only 7,200 miles on the car and in almost showroom condition, they were right! It’s a real nice Crystal Red Tintcoat coupe with the Smoked Transparent Targa Top. It was a retirement present to myself after 33 years as a LEO.
Maybe you should try MacMulkin for an E-Ray! I don’t know if they started a list yet. I checked my spot, didn’t move any since last week, but have moved up 10 from where I started in November 2021. I missed the Ciocca November 2nd fiasco. I was on vacation in Aruba. Waited for noon time arrive on the 2nd, only to find I couldn’t do a wire transfer from there. Later found out I had a $1,400 limit anyway. So I was upset for awhile, then a TH-cam channel guy I follow suggested trying MacMulkin. As I said above, I got in a little late! So we’ll see what happens. I might look at the E-Ray myself if the horsepower increase above the C8 is significant enough. C8 LT2 with how much electric motor power? Have heard 50 to 150 additional horsepower, but some say they don’t want to get close to the ZO6 at 670 HP or over power it above the ZO6.
I don’t see MacMulkin has a way to check E-Rays on their website like they have for C8s and the ZO6!
I had called a month ago and they supposedly “took my name”. The salesman knew I was already on their ZO6 list he stated. So, I’ll put another $2,000 deposit with them ASAP if I can I told him.

I am liking Chevrolet's Corvette more and more. I liked NSX, but they lack an actual fronk and is just small. Corvette is larger has more space and usable storage. I didn't car about being impractical when I was younger, but it has become more important as time went on. It means you can really travel ang places.

My guess at 5psi it's roughly 75hp to the crank. Just a crack shot guess though.
