🏁 Track Build ND Miata chasing Subarus and BMW E36 - Canyon Run / Touge Attack

- The ND Miata goes headhunting on this high-speed canyon road. Even though it’s a track build with a racing seat and stiff Ohlins coilovers, it proves itself on the touge. This mountain pass brings us chasing randoms including a Subaru group, BMW E36, VW GTI MK4, the ND tackles both the downhill and uphill in a POV drive.

New ND rf owner here and have been looking up content to see different moifications and gather ideas.

Lmao I got tail-gate by a big ass g wagon going up to quad corners, keep in mind i drive a nice easy 65-70mph average this man whipping the ge wagon at like 80 90
I read a description once that driving those was like trying to drive the Hulk. I've made my fair share of work van tires squeal, but wow. Leave it to a G Wagon to ship 6,000lbs gently around a corner at high speeds.
@@nathanthegreathan6464 dude was crazy, he acted like it wasnt anything and yet he was going hella quick speeds only the gt3rs and supercars go, even then the supercar owners are afraid of that type of speeds on those roads🤣
What's your build? Thinking about going down on the BBR super 220 kit for my ND2, but i want the goodwin long tubes instead of the 4-1 headers the kit comes with.
you could probably get the bbr kit without the headers
Are the Goodwin better quality?
@@JohnSmith-yr6je the long tube require more personalized tuning and are more expensive, but give much better torque numbers at the cost of a few hp over the 4-1s
I know this is an old post, but for anyone looking at this today, Goodwin is a better option for headers than BBR for American Miatas. BBR design their stuff for RHD cars, where the header and steering shaft have to be made to fit. Goodwin design their parts for LHD cars where the steering column is over on the intake side. No sense buying a part that's making compromises to clear something that isn't there. Also, BBR's customer service to non-UK customers is said to be shaky.

@@justinbattson7649 I get you, I think real touge roads are pretyy rare anyway in most places. With more and more traffic everywhere you can't do anything anymore.

If I remember correctly, it used Champiro SX2 for tires and had Öhlins Road and Track for coilover setup.

You really think a m3 e36 was one of the best handling cars in the world at its time? You have to be more specific and atleast say roadcar lmao. F1 existed at the time and so did porsches.
@@Turbly Obviously no one was taking F1 cars to the touge. The E36 M3 was definitely in the conversation with anything Porsche was making in that era in terms of handling.

I have an NC2, which is on the same platform as your RX-8. Unbelievable car. I really wish they had put your engine into my bodystyle. The RX-5 would be unspeakably fun to drive.
