  • This is the second part from making the radiator cover mold, yep it didn’t go to plan with the release!
I did make progress tho so sit back and have a laugh
Drop a comment and give us a thumbs up, or down 🙈

    Nice one Wayne.
Shame about the air pockets in the carbon side pod. Hopefully they'll look OK with some resin applied.
For me it's always fibreglass with one of your stunning paint jobs.
Keep up the great videos mate.
    👍

      Sorry Andy, missed this mate
Yes the resin did sort it but I’m not too worried as I was only having a mess about 🙈👍🏻

Great to see the parts coming out ok, shame about the original part getting a bit bent up. That side pod came out fantastic despite the couple of small faults, like you said drop some resin in and give it a buff and you have a good part.

Yes Lee, thank mate, I’ll be honest, I don’t have enough patience to do carbon stuff really, I just want it done in minutes but as we know it takes hours mate 👍🏻

Compressed air is great for releasing ,,crimp the end of an air attachment and round the edges so it doesn't scratch mould or product and insert next to your wedges

Thanks mate, yes I do occasionally do that also , tbh I didn’t think I’d have any problems with this but I was very wrong 🤪🤪

Hi Wayne I watched all of your videos and enjoyed them all. Is there any chance you could show more of the gel coat process please? As some seems coloured as it comes out of the mould. Do you mix paint with it ? And is there any were you buying the products from? Keep up the great work. All the best Clive

Hi Clive, thank for the support mate👍🏻
I think the colour is cos the gel coat is a bit thick,as it’s cold, that’s the only thing I can think of as it’s not usually like that,
I get my stuff from east coast fibreglass supplies 👍🏻
As for application you just brush it on mate, there is a uniform thickness but I just brush it on and leave it to dry 👍🏻
Hope that helps, and any time mate 👍🏻
