Such a great tune JJ! Your taste in Music matches my wife's and my own. She says that you always pick her favorite songs. Thank you for all the diversity that you bring to my guitar playing. Would love to see 3 Legs from McCartney down the road. Wish I had your ear and talent! You challenge me to keep striving to get better. Thank you for your super diligence at bringing fresh tunes to us all!
James you are a good guy and talent ,thank you for the great lessons, hope your health is good after your surgery. I look forward to seeing your playing. God bless
James James I read somewhere that Lennon and Harrison purchased matching sunburst Gibson SJ-200's around 68. I cannot cite my source - but it is imbedded in my Beatle ridden brain. 😎
i dunno. i like that chorus has no lyrics. as well as in My love. cause it adds dreamy quality to songs imho . i can imagine him composing these songs and just mumbling to himself. and nobody can sing woah wo-woah woah like Paul :)
One thing that always kind of bothered me about this unplugged version is that augmented chord in the chorus. It doesn't really work there. If you listen to the studio version or the live ones from 1979 he doesn't play that chord, I think he just stays on E and then goes to A.
I agree. I did the studio version on my old channel and skipped that chord. I suspect Robbie might have suggested it during rehearsals for the unplugged show. :)
❤all McCartney songs thanks James 68 still rockin❤
Nice to here some acoustic stuff, especially from the man with the most tee shirts on You Tube. Thanks for the years of sharing music.
I've commented before,a few times...but you are still the one and only on YT...an amazing ear for music...

By George,James James, you've done it again! Thanks so much!
One of your best lessons yet guy. You keep getting better. Caught you singing. Not bad at all thanks

Typical Paul.. what a great song ! By the way, incredible job as always James!!!
Thanks. Great lesson. Really lets the SJ-200 shine.
That funky E7 chord position makes the song
Thanks privettricker/JamesJames- another excellent lesson-it is much appreciated! Hope you are well.
Bravissimo👏👏sono un tuo iscritto ma anziano povero 🎸 ci faresti il solo?grazie
Thanks again!
Thanks
Takes on a different meaning these days.
That beatle chord is a Eaug, is the same chord they used in the bridge of Ask me why (E-Eaug-A-B)
I'd say its Caug (C-E-G#-C, C triad with 5th raised a semitone from G to G#).
On of my favorites but I'm not sure if I like the unplugged performance or Concert for Kampuchea best.
Very nice song and good lesson. I was just wondering. Of all the Beatles solo works, do you have a favorite? I like George's best.
For me, it's Paul by far.
James James but George and John had J-200's. 😎🎸
Did John?

Quite a few people seem to prefer Paul's solo best. I will admit he does have some good stuff.
the chord after the E might be E Augmented?
that's what it sounds like to me
JJ is there any diference between that acoustic live version and that original one from 1970 on the McCartney album? Tx.
Lots of difference. There are guitar arpeggios and a more melodic bass line in the original to name two. I like this version, too.

James, I know the cords are different but it sounds like the strumming pattern is similar to Rocky Racoon.. am I hearing correctly?
A little, I guess. Rocky is Paul's finger strumming, as opposed to a pick in this one.
James James you are always a wealth of Rock and Roll knowledge !
Capo 2 and cowboy cords way easier !
Trying to avoid cowboy chords, has helped me develop into a better player ,research
True dat…
