He won an amazing game over HeroMarine with probably the best disruptor plays in SCII history (not hyperbole). You can search "Harstem's disruptor plays" to find that game. I think this channel covered it.
He really should so some collabs to grow his channel. More people need the Captain on their startpage.
Really well played from harstem in that first game. Held well, and took a massive tech advantage, exploiting the lack of air upgrades cure had.

They turned their settings up too high to make it look good, or they simply didn't realize how many resources are used by screen capture programs. They should have used a 2nd computer to capture the output of a gaming computer.
Sad that The Captain is out this early. Bad matchup vs Cham's buildorders but I really hope he plays more this year. Only player I really cheer for in SC2.

Hey, the game ain't over till all the buildins get destroyed, beyond that he doesn't have to leave if he doesn't want to.
And as someone else pointed out, he was probably just thinking through the loss, calming down and preparing to not lose against that sorta thing again.

I can see harstem commentating while playing this game.
cure may have won, but can we all stop to appreciate how harstem went from "gonna lose" game 2 to "how tf did cure throw this free win". if cure had built more marines to counter the interceptors then he may have been able to bring it back by bleeding harstem of minerals since interceptors aren't free like in the campaign, but instead did ghosts and vikings, which while able to kill carriers, would only maybe kill 1 or 2, while still taking severe return damage from the other carriers he didn't kill.
Sad the third game was a hard counter

with two fully saturated bases, you can still max 29-30 carriers. Did this in gold. the other player was literally delieted. I wish we'd see that here.
Gold and grandmaster pro players are two completely different beasts. That's like saying cannon rushes work 8 out of 10 times in gold so they should work thatmuch at top level play also.

@@chaywarburton3488Well, Harstem just demonstrated that it is possible in pro. That might not have been 30 of them but clearly it could be viable. If the Terran survives a little longer, oftentimes they will begin to add BCs so Tempests will be added in the ultra lategame. We do see this sometimes.
@@ZC.Andrew Now I understand it's Gold and those players just sit back and max LOL but it was always a blast.
@chaywarburton3488 Not much can beat maxed out Carriers, if the time is given.... but max out BCs can. It is so expensive and time consuming that you will almost never see this. But I am always secretly hoping for the big fleet battles.

Terran legit had like 8 ghosts, 10 marines and a marauder and still didn't GG vs 11 carriers, multiple phoenix and disruptors. Why do they do this.

Yeah it seemed like cure was just thinking through the lose. Cure is known to do this but it's also not just a Terran thing.
Confidence? Terran have been OP AF since WoL, he probably thought he could win with what he had.
Please let everyone sink in a lose. Cure has a fighting mentality. And he killed slot of production and tried to get his going again. He was somewhat close. You can't always perfectly predict, if you stand a chance.
Gives a player time to think, let the defeat sink in especially since Cure had the better start. We can't really relate since our games aren't really best of 3s, best of 5s, etc.
I don't understand why protoss mass phoenixes early at the pro level. Harstem got steamrolled for it, which is what always seems to happen. At best you should get 2 or 3 phoenixes and then switch tech to something that counters marines. marines hard counter phoenixes!

The computer that was running the games couldn’t fully handle the zoom out - StarCraft is quite laggy when it comes to late game.
The other videos and highlights coming will have less problems

In order for Terran to beat Protoss the Terran player has to outplay them and play perfectly. Such an imbalanced matchup.
