The idea of 180° VR is super cool but on desktop in 4K it looks super grainy and soft
Fun experiment, need a lock picture option though for phones.
It looks super pixelated even at 4K 60 on my computer. Can you please reshoot the video and use 8K 60 so maybe it'll look better?
ikr HAHA
Even in my phone that is 4k its still so low quality
Super cool concept, I'd love more things like this (and awesome space!)
On mobile data I'd have drops where it was a little grainy, but when it buffered in it was honestly a lot cooler of a way to do a studio tour.
Keep up the great stuff C&S!
The panning function and the 2x speed up function work like a charm together.
VR is definitely a fascinating gimmick, especially for tours and vlogs! Based on this video though, it's safe to say that TH-cam isn't ready for it yet. It's a very softened image while on Desktop/Mobile though I'm watching in 4k. Glad you tested it out though, always enjoy seeing new innovations.
Wow, that is interesting. I never thought 180⁰ would be immersive, but this is surprisingly good.
Amazing job! Watched the whole thing in VR - it turned out great - thanks for doing this...
It would be cool to have a full interview for the Colin and Samir Show from a "fly on the wall" perspective and watch in 180 VR.
Good video! I enjoyed seeing the studio setup. I would've liked to have seen some discussion of how to enable 8K 60fps recording, as I think that's important for people to see/know if they intend to use this lens to create content. Personally, I use a cage + claw + external power bank in most scenarios, but Canon's plugged-in power supply is a good solution for studio use.
Just watched on my Quest 3, was cool to be across from Colin and Samir with the mic in front of me. That said this feels like significantly lower quality than Canon's previous videos with the R6 and RF5.2. I'm no stranger to VR180, and happy to hear the 5.2 is compatible with more than one body now, but what caused the lower resolution on this video? Was it the body or something to do with processing? ISO?
Sick studio
this is cool!
Love this!
Can’t wait to see you hide things outside the magic window😁
I watched this in VR highly recomend, also this part is my fav 8:50
Cool video. Some nitpicks: audio not synced. On a 1080p monitor, it looks soft (though I guess I don't care too much).
Pausing it and looking around feels surreal😂😂
Sooo cool!!
This was so cool!!😊
Finally a new studio tour, and very cool video. Deep end 🤿
6:17 colin and samir need to film all their videos like this now!😂😂 this is sooo fun! especially at 1.75x speed!!
I feel like I’m there! Super cool TH-cam allows for features like this 😮
Let’s ggoooo C&S!!xD🎉
cooooooool!
This is best experienced with a phone. I personally think 360 is better. If you are going to do this kind of freedom then I want to be able to look around. The whole idea of being able to point to stuff “out of frame” is already solved by having it frame from the beginning.
I love it
This was cool but I feel like the camera height is a little too high in most shots. Even when you showed the ideal frame the vertical lines of furniture were skewed
wow that's cool
Question for @CanonUSA, does the Canon app actually work with the R5C? I haven't gotten it to work with mine while on the cinema OS
Hi, Nelson! We're sorry to hear that you may be experiencing issues with the app. This sounds like an excellent question for our Cinema support team who will be happy to look into this for you. You can reach them right now at 1-855-246-3367. We hope this helps!
hi couch :)
The main ups for vr are the landscape viewing options. However, TH-cam allows you to watch it only in portrait mode which is really uncomfortable. Kind of kills the idea
That's odd, I can see it both ways
@@SHKEKEKE on mobile?
@@kevin_stars yup, I must admit I don't have a VR set out turned it on to test and it works for both orientations, however I would add the TH-cam app has been rather glitchy lately
I do think the experience is really nice, but I’m not sure if it will take off, because of the post processing. It’s just another step to deal with.
The idea is cool but 4K is way to low. Please reshoot in 8i
There was a QR code that I really wanted to scan but it wouldn’t let me. 5:51
Why not film on an R5 or R5C and get 8K resolution?
Because it’s a studio tour filmed with equipment they actually own? Because the file sizes and the workflow are massive and slow? Because the max resolution on oculus is like 2k per eye? Lots of reasons.
@@SterlingSanders ok
Why is the quality so poor? Even at 4k 60 it looks like it was filmed on the first digital camera ever.
Who cares about VR if it looks like 480p.
normal video please
Cool but I don’t like not having 360 degrees of freedom, kinda defeats the purpose.
I cant even finish this. Maybe in VR it looks great but the viewing of this on mobile is just terrible. The quality is horrendous conpared to your usual uploads, and having me move my phone or touch the screen to see what youre directing me to is a terrible experience. Youve been teasing a stuido tour, and this was just a terrible ad, i hope to see a proper one at a later date.
Awesome studio tour
Cool that its in VR
Unfortunately the quality isn't great (at least on mobile) 🤿
