Que bonito, que pena que no se ve gente joven aprendiendo. Un saludo desde España para la bella Rumanía

This woman was so right when she state the young are so busy they do not have the time or patients to do this or other crafts. I am 60 years this year I spent my whole life outside of my working day doing crafts, it’s not often you see me with idle hands, I like to keep busy. Weaving is the one thing I have not done yet. At the moment I am learning and making my own lace for a dress I am making. I have gotten tired of my clothes causing static buildup in me the discharge of the electricity through my hands really hurt, only happens when shopping in large shopping malls and the such so I’m making my own clothes out of all natural fibers no synthetics at all. Funny enough I an even sewing everything by hand as I have no space at the moment to setup the sewing machine. I am loving the smooth finished look of all of my seams done the old way before the inventions of sewing machines and overlockers 😹😹
I would love to learn to weave so I could make my own fabric, a one day dream for me but one never knows 😊

Don't despair....there are plenty of 'young people' taking the time & having the patience to make things. I am 43 & sew, knit, spin, crochet, quilt, embroider, tan hides, make all my own food, and bunches of other stuff. My teen daughters do all sorts of things, too. One knits, crochets, sews vintage clothes & costumes, & makes the most amazing quilts. the other daughter does book binding & art. I have several friends that sew, craft, knit, can, bake, etc.....and my daughter just received a gift from a crush that is a hand forged knife - blade & handle made by this young man of 18. But as they say, Birds of a Feather Flock Together. I get easily bored, so I am always learning new crafts. I also do not like store bought clothes - they are static laden & after washing a few times, they STINK, no matter what you do to them. And never give up on dreams.....I have been dreaming of a milk cow & been told "no" for several years, & my in laws just had one bred for me & in about 3-4 weeks I'll be milking my own cow (if all goes well) and making my own butter, cottage cheese, etc... a true dream come true. Keep dreaming!
