There is a glitch in the game due to american militia being likely to disband when their region is umoccupied by british troops. This would makeit undesireable to completely eliminate british forces. A house rule allowing for political points to be collected from friendly regions even when unoccupied (half rounded up for one to two degrees of support and full points for fully friendly regions) is found on bgg. For me it did much to improve the game!
The british tried to take philadelphia by direct naval invasion, finding the delaware river unsuitable for there navy. They kanded fifty five miles away in the north chesapeake and marched the rest of the way, which jad consequences for their supplies. Therefore, I rhink it is an excellebt decision to consider philadelphia NOT a port.
Another game I have never played, but from your comments, worth playing (if one can lay hands to a copy), I agree it does seem more a political game than military, reminds me somewhat of Republic of Rome. I also go along with your comments with regard this game being in a box format; it does seem to deserve such a transition. Once again many thanks for an interesting video.
