- as a solo act, Liam Gallagher has been singing like it's the 90s again, it's amazing. On top of all of that, he has released three excellent solo albums filled really high quality tunes... SO WHY ISN'T HE PLAYING THEM LIVE?!

Love I Get By too. Why Me Why Not is my personal fave. I get the impression Liam isn't as enthusiastic about his solo songs as he is Oasis. I honestly think he doesn't care that much. His solo career is a way for him to continue doing what he loves, which is singing and touring, whilst paying the bills. That's it. He welcomes the Oasis adoration at his gigs, it's what he lives for, so I don't see him pushing any more of his own songs. He does't see himself as an 'artist' like Noel does; he sees himself as a singer, specifically the singer of Oasis. In his mind, it's his duty to keep the Oasis flame burning.
i get what you're saying but his solo stuff is so well reviewed and, by modern standards, sells a lot of copies. I think it's just such a shame that so many songs don't get played live.

Liam should stick to singing songs that he sang on in Oasis... but he's been trying his hand at some Noel sung Oasis songs and not sure I feel right about it, despite it's interesting to hear... but then again, Noel sings songs that were traditionally known to be sung by Liam despite Noel wrong them... so I say as long as it doesn\t lead to legal disputes, Liam is free to do whatever he wants.

Liam Gallagher's encores should be 4 Oasis songs, the rest of the sets should be all solo stuff. Does he play Flick Of The Finger?
I wish he would, at the show i seen him on the last tour he played Soul Love... I wasn't bothered about that one at all.

on Noel's first tour, he opened a show here in Belfast with It's Good To Be Free.
Playing oasis songs continues to sell oasis albums. Noel recently stated oasis sells as much today as the early years. Noel says he has a complete rock n roll album. Reunion let’s go !!
Right but then what's the point of making new songs at all? Just go on tour and play Oasis stuff then.
and the reunion... from many sources... it's looking like it's on.
The people want Oasis songs and it looks like rather than a reunion the brothers have agreed to play the songs from the band they were both in.

I noticed Ian Brown isn’t doing any more Roses songs anymore
that's something i really don't get. On his last tour before their reunion he was playing Roses & solo stuff. I hope this doesn't mean Roses tunes are gone forever.

@@ziggypop79 I hope so but, from certain stuff I've heard from a few people, Reni is the problem with the band. I have a feeling that if they ever were to tour again, Reni wouldn't be there.

@@ziggypop79 I heard, from a good source, that Reni was really hard to deal with on the reunion tour. You even see part of it on the Made Of Stone documentary.

Don't get Hughezy's pointing abt why renting Knebworth for four nights would cost more money than it would profit? Robbie Williams played three nights and made a huge profit...and they could jack up ticket prices. why would it not make its money back and some??
yeah but since then, renting these venues has doubled/ tripled in price. Liam/ Noel gigs usually don't charge a lot for tickets.
who cares really. I mean most singers today don't write the songs and those that do usually have like 4-6 other people helping them on one song.
the entire point of the clip is that the songs from his solo career aren't getting the coverage they deserve.
And the problem is Liam wrote some great songs during the later years of Oasis. Like with his voice now, I'm Outta Time, Songbird, Guess God Thinks I'm Abel, Love Like a Bomb would be great to hear live.
and it's not like he brings in casual fans, we're all huge Oasis guys
I'm not the biggest fan of either but Liam's solo work is infinitely better than Noel's solo stuff. Some of Noel's solo stuff have been the worst songs he's ever written.
I wasn't a big fan no Noel's first album but everything else he's done I've loved.
Liam throwing Roll it Over into the set was a masterstroke. That sounds epic! But yeah I'm bored to DEATH of cigarettes and alcohol, supersonic, r n r star, wonderwall and on Noel's side DLBIA etc. SUCH A YAWN. I don't think Liam should jettison all oasis songs, but mix them up, play girl with the dirty shirt, let's all make believe, hey now, born on a different cloud, headshrinker, and then 10 of his solo songs. Actual fans will appreaciate that. If they've only come for Wonderwall they're not a real fan. As for Noel's stuff, haven't been able to listen to it since Chasing Yesterday (which was great), and the shows look like a complete yawn.
and Liam clearly knew that Roll It Over was a great idea because it was the first official release from his new live album.

HC is terrible. I can't even retro listen to it.
@@HughezyEntertainment Go on out of that, saw them twice on the HC tour, they where back on form after SOTSOG, how can you deny tunes like Hindu Times, Force of Nature, Little By Little, Songbird??

doesn't his brother own all of the rights to the songs so that it means Liam can never release any live albums or full concert footage? That's enough of a reason to stop playing them.

here's your problem with that idea: nobody really cares about modern music from anyone, new or old acts, so he basically has to do the old stuff or else he wouldn't have anyone coming to the show at all.

Liam's on a 360 deal with Warners. That means Warners get a chunk of the live gates, so if Liam stopped playing Oasis, his live attendances would fall, Liam would go from playing big venues to playing 2000 seaters and Warners would take in less money. He only has solo albums because Warners produced and created them with little input from Liam himself. His only reason for existing as a live act is to sing the Oasis songs.

10+ years working in the music industry. Everyone that's on a major label like Warners is on a 360 deal.

i don't think anyone alive even knew that he had solo songs, Oasis sucked anyway.
Oasis were one of, if not the biggest band of the 90s. The Gallagher's attitude they brought to music was so overwhelmingly popular with people and they backed it up with music that people loved. Wonderwall was so big that it was in the news, it was THE thing when it released.
But now the band has split up, people forgot Liam Gallagher does solo work? Both of the brothers frequently do interviews talking about their new albums and just last year Liam sold out two nights at Knebworth. So how could anyone even suggest that nobody knows they have solo stuff, that's just completely ridiculous to suggest.
