I don't agree with the Spider-Man 3 Venom being on this list. It took a lot of influence from the comic, in particular ASM 300. Brock's motives were originally to get revenge on Peter for ruining his life. Even look at the 90's Spider-Man series which also uses this style of introduction to the character.
I'm still gutted about how badly Cletus Kassady/Carnage was brought to life in live-action. He should have been more like Chucky -- truly relishing his opportunity to pursue his murderous hobby with a maniacal cackle.
The fake Mandarin was one of the mcu's greatest ruses and one of Ben Kingsleys best roles ever. The bait and switch worked perfect and left it open for them to bring in the real Mandarin for Shang-Chi
Nuclear man's intro is one of the best parts of Superman IV, the FX are pretty good despite the cheapness. the craziest thing, Marc Pillow's voice IS similar to Gene Hackman's, just listen to his interview. Cannon was, not only stupid, cheap. but they favoured their ideas too much. Leave Batman and Robin alone, Mr Freeze's intro is cool and Ivy's is vine.
I just remember the Mandarin had his own awesome and intimidating movie poster in the lobby of my favorite movie theater. I still feel like I'm waiting for the movie that poster promised me.
Please do a similar list, but Villains who's potential in a movie got wasted by either not enough screen time, killing them off immediately or just not giving them a chance; Rhino on this list is one such, got his suit at the end for a brief little moment for ultimately nothing. For me, I was excited to see Arnim Zola in Captain America the Winter Soldier, but they took such an awesome character from the comics for 5 minutes of screen time and to blow him up with a cheesy "out of time..." line, I was PISSED!!! Similar happened with MCU's rendition of Zemo

Yeah, Criminal Minds Lex Luther fell flat. The actor thought he was going to be playing the Riddler due to a miscommunication, so he prepared for the wrong character.
It wasn’t minor irritation that defeated Dormammu. He was trapped in that endless time loop with Strange for years, centuries even. We only saw a minor fraction of the total amount of deaths Strange suffered.

Honestly, I loved the Mandarin twist, still do. The Mandarin is not exactly my favorite villain, and so he was a safe character to make a joke of. Plus, his being a diversion plays into the Iron Man films’ running theme of Tony (and by extension America) creates his own demons.
I’m confused. Are the introductions per movie, genre, universe? I’m pretty sure Emma Frost was in X-men origins, Joker has been introduced a million times, venom as well.
i actually liked the dormamu scene and it wasnt just a few time loops i believe its hinted that it was in the thousands maybe even millions of time loops and everyone has a breaking point! its cool because it shows how patient doctor strange can be and that he kept his cool dying so many times
Ah yes...Nuclear Man #2....I had the biggest crush on him as a teen because let's face it...the actor playing him just looked good. Too bad this Golden God was given a horrible weakness...
Maybe someone has said it already but the biggest letdown, in my opinion and not having read the comics on the character, is the missed opportunity on having a back and forth of freaking Sir Ben Kingsley and Robert Downey. Jr.. Maybe they did not want someone to overshadow Robert Downey. Jr. so they limited the screen time for Sir Ben Kingsley.

I’ll say it, I like Gorr, and I enjoy Love and Thunder… but he really needed be focused on more. I’d have loved a side plot where he just goes killing God after God with different reasons based on what they’re the god of. Ares? Despite being a God of War, he never seems to stop them when they’ve gotten out of control. Baldr? Despite seemingly being invincible, he never once helped ANYONE OR EVEN SHOWED UP. Also I think the movie should’ve leaned off the comedy during the fight in Olympus. I feel like if they’d started taking a heavier and more serious tone after that, maybe with the rock dude actually dying and Thor being driven by his need to save the kids as well as vengeance, it could’ve been way better.
Pretty much, he also unexpectedly appeared in the movie predators as a Dr....really?!?! A Dr with a bunch of random dangerous soldier type people against a alien warrior race 😂😂😂
15. Dormammu. being trapped in a time loop till you give up most take years, thousands of them. especially one who is already immortal and seem thousands of years. Strange is in there with him, can't have been easy to still focused on the task and not lose your mind.
The choice of casting for Luthor and just how he's portrayed by Eisenberg is a reflection of how WB fucked up on DC movies.

@@Reaperguy67He's in every argument with a rude reply. I told him to f off.
It was terrible lol
I'm still gutted about how badly Cletus Kassady/Carnage was brought to life in live-action. He should have been more like Chucky -- truly relishing his opportunity to pursue his murderous hobby with a maniacal cackle.
Eisenberg would have made a fantastic Mad Hatter.
Or, Riddler 💚❓
Yeah in the Batman tv show
The fake Mandarin was one of the mcu's greatest ruses and one of Ben Kingsleys best roles ever.
Bullseye was a decent Villain
What’s next dr doom is Peter parkers grandfather
Technically father figure right now
i like this video great job as always watchmojo!
Agreed. They should've introduced Bruce Banner's Dad by playing his hit single "Play"
The new voice person is an instant turn off
How dare u put Emma Frost on this list
Lol
Zod in man of steel... "I WILL FIND HIM!!!!!!!!"x30. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
MODOK showing up on screen looking like Humpty Dumpty was a major disappointment for me. lol
The fact that the Ben Kingsley Mandarin prank had the lamest payoff in the form of Guy Pierce made me hate Iron Man 3.
Because I am who I am, I've decided to do some number crunching on this list for which studio has desecrated supervillains in movies the most.
You know that curiosity killed the cat, so I don't expect to live much longer after writing this.😅
In reverse order:
5th Universal - 1
-3rd Sony 4
-3rd 20th C. Fox 4
2nd Disney 5
1st Warner Bros 6
So, according to this list from Watch Mojo, Warner Bros has introduced their supervillains in the worst ways possible. Congratulations Warner Bros, your prize is Hallie Berry's Razzie award for Worst Actress that she "won" for Catwoman.🎉
Also, I did appreciate the "bootleg Mr Electric" for MODOK.😂
Tommy Lee Jones as Two Face was the absolute worst.
Yeah, Criminal Minds Lex Luther fell flat. The actor thought he was going to be playing the Riddler due to a miscommunication, so he prepared for the wrong character.
And he just played Max Landis to show people how he was. Well do that with a different character
The best supervillain intro is penguin in Batman Returns because we see his backstory. I ❤ that movie
What we're not gonna do is talk bad about Batman and Robin
Gorr introducion was one of the best parts of this movie lol
Shocked TLJ as Two Face wasn't mentioned and the sick guy from Morbius
It wasn’t minor irritation that defeated Dormammu. He was trapped in that endless time loop with Strange for years, centuries even. We only saw a minor fraction of the total amount of deaths Strange suffered.
1-The Royal family perpetuates a society where people born with inferior DNA by random chance are forced into slavery
2-Black Bolt is given two-way communicator as writers forget the basic things about main character- If he talks , he emits sonic scream, so He trained himself to not speak and communicate with sign language , How would giving him two-way communicator work ? . *Even Echo writers knew throughout the series that Maya Lopez is deaf and Mute and communicates with Sign Language hence there is not a single scene that showed her with two way communicator unlike Black Bolt in Inhumans*
3-Medusa - absolute jerk to everyone around her except her family, making you feel sorry for everyone she meets on Earth and has no storyline
4- Maximus- seems more heroic and better protagonist than entire Royal family despite *being main antagonist of Inhumans*
*The supposed bad guy overthrow a corrupt government to end slavery without spilling any blood. In what universe is Maximus not the hero of the story?*
5-Inhumans final episode
You don’t care about anything happening
We never see Attilan and its people
*In a single episode , They use random plot twists out of nowhere to make Maximus, the only good person in Royal family, more evil than the Royal family who learned nothing from their time on Earth and are still racist idiots they were from Episode 1*
Honestly, I loved the Mandarin twist, still do. The Mandarin is not exactly my favorite villain, and so he was a safe character to make a joke of. Plus, his being a diversion plays into the Iron Man films’ running theme of Tony (and by extension America) creates his own demons.
I actually liked Green Lantern
Blackheart was my favorite character to play in the PS1 Marvel vs Capcom, and I was so disappointed at how he looked in Ghost Rider.
I’m confused. Are the introductions per movie, genre, universe? I’m pretty sure Emma Frost was in X-men origins, Joker has been introduced a million times, venom as well.
Good list. A nice mix of bad writing, bad actors, and bad casting.
Fault the chamaleon in kung fu panda 4
Dormammu and Blackheart would probably worked better if they looked like they did in Marvel vs Capcom or close to it.
Turning Paralax and Galactus into something unrecognizable, just like certain anime trilogy.
i actually liked the dormamu scene and it wasnt just a few time loops i believe its hinted that it was in the thousands maybe even millions of time loops and everyone has a breaking point! its cool because it shows how patient doctor strange can be and that he kept his cool dying so many times
The absorbing man in hulk was dope yall tweakin
Ah yes...Nuclear Man #2....I had the biggest crush on him as a teen because let's face it...the actor playing him just looked good. Too bad this Golden God was given a horrible weakness...
Maybe someone has said it already but the biggest letdown, in my opinion and not having read the comics on the character, is the missed opportunity on having a back and forth of freaking Sir Ben Kingsley and Robert Downey. Jr.. Maybe they did not want someone to overshadow Robert Downey. Jr. so they limited the screen time for Sir Ben Kingsley.
No one seems to be talking abt the fact that you can see galactus's head in the cloud 9:18
I always thought that doom was kinda like the first form and they were gonna do sequels and flesh him out more and even his costume. that doom was terrifying. Honestly I felt like it was a good movie
I think Malekith was a great villain
He was fooled by two scientists and two brainless interns carrying nothing by tripods
@@mr.movieandtvguy5310 Haha, HISHE callback there?
@@hunterrousseau3770 Yes sir
@@mr.movieandtvguy5310 At least, he was a more legitimate threat when it comes to either "War of Realms" in the comics, or "Casket of Ancient Winters" in "The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" in those there
I’ll say it, I like Gorr, and I enjoy Love and Thunder… but he really needed be focused on more.
Passionate fan of the comic Absorbing Man here
The fact that he played Eric Foreman before this for such a long time might've also had something to do with the tone of his acting.
Pretty much, he also unexpectedly appeared in the movie predators as a Dr....really?!?! A Dr with a bunch of random dangerous soldier type people against a alien warrior race 😂😂😂
Gorrs introduction was great.
Literally the only good parts in the movie were the scenes with gorr
*thumbnail*
The Legendary Super Human!
I think we can all agree that venom, rhino and carnage had better introductions/setups in the insomniac spider man games
15. Dormammu. being trapped in a time loop till you give up most take years, thousands of them. especially one who is already immortal and seem thousands of years. Strange is in there with him, can't have been easy to still focused on the task and not lose your mind.
Naw that Bullseye introduction was dope.
In an alternate reality, they got Patrick Stewart as Mr. Freeze.
Disagree with Dormammu and Bullseye
Nah bullseye is a late 90s early 2000s gem it portrays that time period perfect …
What the mcu did to Gorr's character was beyond disrespectful.
