What is Project MFG - Welding

PROJECT MFG is a catalyst that helps elevate the next generation of highly skilled trade professionals by changing mindsets, fostering community preparedness, and challenging how the critical skills needed to succeed in modern advanced manufacturing are taught.
We strive to improve both the lives of workers and America’s future at the same time. After all, when schools, industry, and government work together, we all win. Students gain skills to succeed, schools increase their capacity to teach more students, the industry has more qualified job candidates, and U.S. manufacturing becomes more competitive as we level up the industrial workforce.

16 competitors will have 4 hours to complete their project using GMAW and GTAW processes to fabricate a stainless-steel pressure vessel. Our judges will then test each project before selecting a winner who will take home our grand prize of $10,000!
