At least in the final boss of BIS, you only mash one button, in Sonic vs. Blaze however, you have to alternate between 2 buttons at inhuman speed! And it's right at the end of the fight!

As well as a THIRD time in the Ark of Yamato!
Flack Jacket in regards to number 10 you need to play it it’s literally 3-4$ and despite the final boss being pretty bad the rest of the game is fun as hell.
I'd have to say that my least favorite, or at least the hardest, boss I've ever encountered is dr kahl's robot from cuphead, for the sole reason that it's the only time I've ever thrown my controller in rage. Edit: no wait, I actually threw my controller TWICE!
About Mashtooth, I have an interesting story. I had to take a break from him so I could rest up, and then I created a tally chart to count how many times I would fail the next session. The tally chart ended up not mattering because I happened to get lucky on that last part, especially when ol' Mashy shoots the moon at you and you have to obliterate the Y button.
One of my least favorite boss battles ever is against Misery in Cave Story. I wouldn't hate this battle nearly as much if you didn't have to repeat it if you lost to the Doctor or Undead Core
the real zeldamaster of minecraft I actually had no problem beating Beef Cloud, or Heavy Zest for that matter. I find all the disciple battles to be fun and memorable.
I had way more trouble with Shub Niggurath because you had to knock the cops into its range to damage it. At least you didn't need to attack Spontaneous Bootay alongside the other strippers and the Woodland Critters were a lot more difficult because Beary has that hellfire attack, Deery shoots laser beams and they all had a lot of health!
From what I've seen Grim Matchstick was a lot easier than people make it out to me? Sure I've never played it and I'm probably entirely wrong, but for simple/regular mode I would expect round-a-bout and charger would be okay. And I saw someone told you the platforms are in reverse. (Also I heard a few times that the platforms aren't RNG but just a very long random pattern?)
As someone who’s beaten Cuphead, Grim is far from the hardest boss in the game. In fact, I’d say he’s the second easiest boss in World 2. The Lobber weapon completely shreds his HP quickly and makes the fireballs a significantly smaller threat. Even funnier, the fight gets even easier on Expert Mode because now the clouds travel away from Grim during the last two phases, making it way easier to maneuver and shoot during the fight.
I think an explanation for Hades' Heart is that it's a trap set by Hades himself. He just created it in an attempt to toy with and destroy Pit by frustrating him. The whole, "Oh that hurt, at least I'm not dead!" was just an act to joke with pit. And given Kid Icarus' Hades, would you really put it past him?
Okay, i would actually like too defend the meat circus, or at least the boss fight and maybe the shortness of the sections. Okay so the shortness of it all is probably an attempt too make the play less frustrated as it will take less time too reach the point they died at Now as for the boss... I mean, for me it is just plain and good cathartic fun after having half of the boss put you through the most difficult(personally at least) platforming area in the game, and with the help of the real world version, you get too kick the shit out of him for the pain he has put you through.
I'm honestly going a say something, MASSIVE SPOLAER WARNING AHEAD! Very good list, but I was kind of disappointed with the number 1 choice, I mean yes, what you said IS kind of true, but having a boss from your Top 10 Favorite Bosses list all because of rematching it and how it kind off ruined the story is kind of lame, I though you were going to include the final boss of Wario: Master of Disguise.
I actually enjoyed matchstick. I do admit he was one of the ones that I struggled with but he was very enjoyable. It was mostly the last phase that was difficult and if you picture the fact that there are really only 2 attacks, it isn't too bad sorta.
10: the finger slayer 9: run forest run 8: "CHEATER!" -waluigi 7: the waiting game 6: lets do the same thing repeatedly 5: enemy wave 4: evil bomberman 3: i cant hit him he is behind me! 2: human mr krabs 1: do it again
Rumor and kahl deserved to be on this list instead of matchstick, sure he is hard and kinda unfair, but Dr. kahl is extremely unfair because of the walls, and rumor because of the more unfair platforms
For mashtooth, you complained mashing is bad for a game with the same difficulty level as Kirby, but that’s basically how all the modern final bosses from sectonia end.
The secret unique monster in Torigoth from Xenoblade 2. Not because the boss was bad. I wouldn't know because YOU CAN PERMANENTLY KILL HIM BEFORE HE EVEN APPEARS! And they put a freaking quest marker above his head, making you think you need to kill him... WHY!?!?!?
Is it wrong I like Grim Matchstick's fight it was very very hard (definitely the hardest boss imo) I didn't rage quit but it took me like 2 hours Oh and THANKS for putting Beef Cloud on this list, I fucking despise him he took me 5 hours total
I had the same experience with Mashtooth, I spent weeks upon weeks trying to beat him and somehow fluked it. Considering how easy the rest of the game is I really am shocked by how difficult they made that button mashing, Bayonetta 1 is more lenient than it with climaxes for god's sake.
I personally found Beef Cloud to be quite easy. I just kept using the Luiginary Ball on him because by doing so, he could no longer sleep. When he doesn't sleep, he stops heeling. Easy pickings, really. Heavy Zest? No arguments here. I HATED that fight. Though maybe it's more of me than the game itself, but the crab attack always got me. It was SO ridiculous.
@@Dafawfulizer Ok you do have a point, but dodging the fireballs isnt that hard for me so I can just jump over it when it hits four directions, but i do understand if that may be hard for you
For me : King slime , from terraria . This boss spawn completely randomly when you unprepared and so annoying and kinda hard on the early game . And what you got when you kill him ? Nothing you got NOTHING YOU LOSE ! he give you the most useless loot in the galaxy . A loot you will never use . Exept in high difficulty he hand you the prince slime one of the cutest pets in the game . He is the exception. Other than that . 1/10 the 1 for the pet
If I made this list, I would add two. Shadow Okumura from Persona 5/P5R, and Dame Dedtime/Dame Demona from Yokai Watch 2. Spoilers for both. Persona 5 is a really good game, and in the original, Okumura definitely was my least favorite boss. For the remaster? It still holds true. After going through the hell of adungeon known as Okumura's palace, you have to fight this guy. His boss fight is basically fighting off a horde of his minions, before taking him down. The boss was just really boring. It was just a cycle of find the weakness, exploit, block big attack, kill the healer, repeat. After the horde of minions, I beat Okumura himself with a few Concentrate boosted Megidolas. The remaster, Persona 5 Royal, made his palace a little better, but holy crap they made the boss so much worse. This boss is easier if you played on the HIGHEST DIFFICULTY. To say this fight was bad is an understatement. This isn't a "get gud" situation, even. Unlike the Minotaur from SMTIV, who may be rage inducing, it still is fun and well designed. Okumura is not fun. In both games, you have 30 minutes to beat this boss before you get a bad ending and lose the fight. The way Persona works, is that exploiting a weakness downs an enemy and gets you an extra turn. Once you down all enemies, you get the chance to do an All-Out Attack which un-downs them, but you deal lots of damage. If they get back up, you have another chance to down them and do another AOA, if you play your hand correctly.. In this fight, you don't get to do that, even if you have all enemies downed. In the final wave, Okumura starts debuffing your team, removing your buffs, and buffing his minions. If you don't kill all of them in time, they start to flee, and you have to restart that wave. This fight is bad because it removes the mechanics you've been so used to throughout the game. The Baton Pass and AOA work in tandem, and they won't be at their best when one is gone. This boss fight is really bad, but its overshadowed by the rest of this game. The rest is really really really good, from the fights, characters, music, and looks please play it. Yokai Watch is a pretty underrated series, but it has become one of my favorites. Its a JRPG with an interesting battle system and the Yokai are based off of real life Yokai (Jibanyan is based on a Nekomata, Gnomey is a Zashiki-Warashi, etc.). Yokai Watch 2 though, is easily my least favorite out of the three that have been released in English. Don't get me wrong, the game is really fun, but the bosses weren't as fun as in the other two (except Gutsy Bones he was cool). Case and point, Dame Dedtime. Its a huge difficulty spike for me. The level I was in the Fleshy/Bony Base (the level right before) was about level 30-40. To beat Dame Dedtime, I had to be level 55-60. This game has a pretty slow EXP gain without using EXP Orbs, but I didn't really mind it until then because I had a pretty good team (Jibanyan, Smogmella, Faux Kappa, Buchinyan, Vacuumory, Scarasol) and the game wasn't that hard. What dame dedtime does is she has high level Technique attacks, she summons minions who can either attack you or heal her, and she can steal levels from you. She can make you lower level without using a turn. This is still a kids game by the way. The way I finally beat her was just buying lots of revival medicine and healing items. The series is really really really good, from the Yokai, story, battle system, and music please play it.
My most hated boss is the Ancient Leshen from Monster Hunter World Take everything bad about the normal Leshen, dial that shit up to 11 Give him a few insta-kill moves Nerf his primary weakness Chip damage for days Teleports all the time Even for a full party this guy was damn near impossible to beat To the point where the developers had to make an update patch specifically to nerf Ancient Leshen
There is a trick in browser's inside story that you can use to make Bowser's vacuum attack and Mario's Luigi throw for snack basket by mashing X & Y or A & b repeatedly. Does that work for the meteor in Mashtooth's case or are you screwed?
Okay, I think you over exaggerated about the Dragon Cuphead boss. He's a actually one of the best bosses in the entire game precisely for the difficulty. He's a homage to Megaman, so he NEEDS to be difficult. And the rant about he shots filling up the screen isn't valid. Like, at all. The amount of shots that stay on screen are one of twice AT MOST. And they're also not THAT HARD to avoid shooting at. It's just a fun and very challenging (for some people, I personally didn't have much trouble with it, seriously, I beat at my forth attempt) boss that mixes platforming and very quick and spot on reflexes.

@@brianpguil Since he doesn't have any dishonorable mentions, here are a few bosses that I hate. ~Parallel versions of bosses from the Heroes from Another Dimension mode of Kirby Star Allies (news flash, I hate this new mode because it's unfairly hard and forces me to upset my family because I keep yelling every time I lose a chance to get a Friend Heart, did I mention that you need all the Friend Hearts to recruit the Mage Girls as a Dream Friend? ~Totem Kommo-o from Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon (I can't remember if he was like this in the regular versions, but at least in this version, he's clearly designed to screw Fairy types over, so I have to leave my Primarina and Mr. Mime dead and use my Noivern to finish the job.) ~K.Rool from Donkey Kong 64 (Yeah, sure the boxing ring aesthetic can be funny, and the ending is worth a chuckle or two, especially from Candy and Funky's teamwork, but what isn't funny is how long this fight can go on for, and that's around 90 seconds per Kong, totaling to about 9 or 10 minutes total, which hurts.) ~Gobblegut from Super Mario Galaxy 2 (I don't care that Bowser Jr tells you the weakness, it's still hard to hit!)

Hyper Snatcher from A Hat In Time. Probably the most bullet spammy boss I’ve ever fought and just reuses everything from all the other fights. I stopped playing Starfy for 3 years right at the end because of the Mashtooth fight and not physically being capable of button mashing that fast.
That kinda reminds me of the Blaze/Sonic fight in Sonic Rush.
Ace Trainer Yarn Compared to the final boss vacuum duel in Bowser's Inside Story, how bad was it?
At least in the final boss of BIS, you only mash one button, in Sonic vs. Blaze however, you have to alternate between 2 buttons at inhuman speed! And it's right at the end of the fight!
I didn't find it nearly as bad as mashtooth
Unless it is at MPds levels of mashing it isn't bad
Nice countdown.
10: Never played
9: Oh, wonderful, looking forward to THIS fight now...
8: Thought the first one was a pointless boss, didn't think the second was all that difficult
7: Haven't beaten
6: Fuck this boss, and fuck this chapter!
5: Never played
4: Never played
3: This boss didn't quite fill me with as much salt as the others I've faced (FYI, I haven't beaten the game yet.)
2: Never played
1: I know you had to go into the past to save Lika, but still, WHY did this boss have to be faced AGAIN? As well as a THIRD time in the Ark of Yamato!
Flack Jacket in regards to number 10 you need to play it it’s literally 3-4$ and despite the final boss being pretty bad the rest of the game is fun as hell.
Sablonanime Really? I hadn't thought much of that game. And it's that cheap? Is it on eshop or something?
Flack Jacket I bought a physical copy they aren’t hard to come by
Sablonanime. Ah. Probably on Amazon. I do most of my game shopping there, anyway.
I'd have to say that my least favorite, or at least the hardest, boss I've ever encountered is dr kahl's robot from cuphead, for the sole reason that it's the only time I've ever thrown my controller in rage.
Edit: no wait, I actually threw my controller TWICE!
i agree, kahl was a pain.
i just randomly remembered this video just to feel old
I STILL haven’t beaten mashtooth because of the quick-time finisher.(i suck at button mashing.)
It took me a year to beat beef cloud.
the real zeldamaster of minecraft I actually had no problem beating Beef Cloud, or Heavy Zest for that matter. I find all the disciple battles to be fun and memorable.
TF fan102 agreed but beef cloud was the hardest
I had to resort to attack badges to beat heavy zest on hard mode
Strategy for number 9: always use attacks that make you go forward so just go forward as much as possible
Never played no more heros, but wasn't the character you're playing as against million gunman a boss/villian at one point?
Yep, Shinobu was a boss at some point
Yep, and none of us really liked her
I actually was able to beat the South Park Boss on my first try, however, I actually already knew what I had to do. So...that kinda happened.
I think that this video is more better than the original because I think its a cooler video
@@DCT-tt8ib DUDE. SAME. I GOT AN A+ ON GRIM AND FOR ME, HE WAS SO FRICKING EASY!
This isnt the place for me....
Khal's Robot and the Cow from the dlc are much worse imo
I think an explanation for Hades' Heart is that it's a trap set by Hades himself. He just created it in an attempt to toy with and destroy Pit by frustrating him. The whole, "Oh that hurt, at least I'm not dead!" was just an act to joke with pit. And given Kid Icarus' Hades, would you really put it past him?
Okay, i would actually like too defend the meat circus, or at least the boss fight and maybe the shortness of the sections.
Okay so the shortness of it all is probably an attempt too make the play less frustrated as it will take less time too reach the point they died at
Now as for the boss...
Very good list, but I was kind of disappointed with the number 1 choice, I mean yes, what you said IS kind of true, but having a boss from your Top 10 Favorite Bosses list all because of rematching it and how it kind off ruined the story is kind of lame, I though you were going to include the final boss of Wario: Master of Disguise.
augustbornone M
@@morandaterwilliger5066 What does that mean? Just asking.
Beef Cloud and Heavy Zest both sound like stand names
I actually enjoyed matchstick. I do admit he was one of the ones that I struggled with but he was very enjoyable. It was mostly the last phase that was difficult and if you picture the fact that there are really only 2 attacks, it isn't too bad sorta.
10: the finger slayer
9: run forest run
8: "CHEATER!" -waluigi
7: the waiting game
6: lets do the same thing repeatedly
5: enemy wave
4: evil bomberman
3: i cant hit him he is behind me!
2: human mr krabs
1: do it again
Tip to make Spontaneous Bootay easier, pick speedster and have supersonic dash. That's how you win.
Rumor and kahl deserved to be on this list instead of matchstick, sure he is hard and kinda unfair, but Dr. kahl is extremely unfair because of the walls, and rumor because of the more unfair platforms
The final phase of the maligula fight in psychonauts 2 feels like they tried making the 2 headed dad monster but better
For mashtooth, you complained mashing is bad for a game with the same difficulty level as Kirby, but that’s basically how all the modern final bosses from sectonia end.
I legit screamed when i saw this in my notifications after school
Edit: future sablo here, damn I was kinda cringey.
Will you do the top smg4 videos now?
The secret unique monster in Torigoth from Xenoblade 2. Not because the boss was bad. I wouldn't know because YOU CAN PERMANENTLY KILL HIM BEFORE HE EVEN APPEARS! And they put a freaking quest marker above his head, making you think you need to kill him... WHY!?!?!?
Whih one?
@@vittoriopugliese3352 The torigoth ranch, if you feed him and he grows up it becomes a unique monster
Heavy zest is a girl?
You pronounce it Mah-seef?
I always thought it was boy and Mass-if
In Italian he's simply called "Allievo Arancione" (Orange Pupil) and I refer to him as a male.
Stars I had the same reaction about heavy zest
Is it wrong I like Grim Matchstick's fight it was very very hard (definitely the hardest boss imo) I didn't rage quit but it took me like 2 hours
Oh and THANKS for putting Beef Cloud on this list, I fucking despise him he took me 5 hours total
IKR about beef cloud
17:00 *clouds travel away from him.*
uh...You mixed up. They travel towards him in the 3rd phase.
Beef cloud is a nuisance
12:00 I mean, people have appendices and don't need them
for grim matchstick just use the round a bout weapon so you can shoot him while facing the other way because the shots will turn around and hit him
The only problem is it's likely to hit the fireballs
@@Dafawfulizer Ok you do have a point, but dodging the fireballs isnt that hard for me so I can just jump over it when it hits four directions, but i do understand if that may be hard for you
I remember the first time I beat mashtooth. I had to ask my sister to do the button mashing section so I could beat it
For me : King slime , from terraria .
The series is really really really good, from the Yokai, story, battle system, and music please play it.
have you faught dreamy bowser? his buffet is too over powered
Do top ten sml videos round three

You have to fight Bootay again in bring the crunch
3:15 SURPRISE gotta fight her again this time with tougher enemy’s in the new dlc
But you have twice the amount of people in your party.
Which is either a blessing or a curse
Nintendo watches this video let’s do it again in star allies
It’s mash tooth I’m talking about and void termania
My most hated boss is the Ancient Leshen from Monster Hunter World
Take everything bad about the normal Leshen, dial that shit up to 11
Give him a few insta-kill moves
Nerf his primary weakness
Chip damage for days
Teleports all the time
Even for a full party this guy was damn near impossible to beat
To the point where the developers had to make an update patch specifically to nerf Ancient Leshen
There is a trick in browser's inside story that you can use to make Bowser's vacuum attack and Mario's Luigi throw for snack basket by mashing X & Y or A & b repeatedly. Does that work for the meteor in Mashtooth's case or are you screwed?
OMG, I remember the Mashtooth battle! That was so hard that I had to turn to TH-cam just to see the ending! 😡😤
Same not joking
But he's organic and the Derpy Bloody Dragon is a robot.
Why didn't you say that mashtooth had an out of place design?
Because there was another boss with a 3d model. I agree it looks totally out of place, but it technically isn't
Btw, I would think you would get over how bad mashtooth is by now, and that also goes with the meat circus and the two headed dad monster.
Beef cloud will wake up if you excellent him with the stack
I got a question but if you met Matpat in person, what would you do
BTW really good list, excited for top 10 or 15 SMG4 videos

Grim matchstick headed me and my friend to refit the law of visitors to beat him yet even with that tool like 60 attempts
where would comrade black, the black jewel, and titan joker be on the list tho? like, which entries on this list would they be in between?
General RAAM in gears of war 1, invulnerability (although manipulatable) check. Absurd health and damage, check. A tiny, cramped arena when he's constantly charging at you with his 1.8 second kill time, check.
2:39 So that's why his name is mashtooth... 6:38 Beefcloud is worse.
If you have trouble with grims second phase look at the fireballs eyebrows the angry ones are the ones that jump
I'm fine with first and third phase of grim matchstick but.... THAT DAMN SECOND PHASE........ I hate it to much happening I can jump around the clouds and pay attention to the flames of pain
Dafawfulizer can you please put in dishonorable mentions
I don't have many dishonorable mentions though
oh ok
what are the few you have
@@brianpguil Since he doesn't have any dishonorable mentions, here are a few bosses that I hate.
Mime dead and use my Noivern to finish the job.)
~K.Rool from Donkey Kong 64 (Yeah, sure the boxing ring aesthetic can be funny, and the ending is worth a chuckle or two, especially from Candy and Funky's teamwork, but what isn't funny is how long this fight can go on for, and that's around 90 seconds per Kong, totaling to about 9 or 10 minutes total, which hurts.)
~Gobblegut from Super Mario Galaxy 2 (I don't care that Bowser Jr tells you the weakness, it's still hard to hit!)
@@ilikecurry2345 thank you also sorry if this thank you was very late
Spontaneous bootay is actually easier on mastermind difficult if anything red wine drunk Randy was harder because he kept killing Captain diabetes which was an instantly loose

I hate Heavy Zest so much because of the damn three turn limit!! >_>
I Hate beef cloud more

Hyper Snatcher from A Hat In Time. Probably the most bullet spammy boss I’ve ever fought and just reuses everything from all the other fights. Plus you have to fight him after beating all of the other op super bosses. Better make sure you’ve got all your lives! Dropping lights, time pieces and even fucking saws. Instead of a completely new and different boss we get reused assets and scripts turned into a overly annoying and bs fight.
I found the mad doctor was a bad boss fight the first time I played epic Mickey
Grim Matchstick is Bowser but utilized very well. Of course hes hard af.
I’ve had more trouble with Wally warbles than Grimm matchstick Even though I played on simple difficulty.
Traptainum koas from skylanders trap team on hard/nightmare on both modes there is a attack that one shots any character the attack does 9999
Make anthoher list with expert wally warbles
pyribbt master dubiel I hate Wally warbles in general
My favourite video game boss is tinker knight from shovel knight why spoilers so he seems like a complete joke his hardest atack is throwing a few wreches which with the locket is easy then wen you defeat him the fight is not over he uses a ginate robot which is not hard but it’s such a surprise it’s really cool that’s why he is my favourite boss
