I am so absolutely envious of your connection with all these birds. Wood ducks hold special status with me because I've hatched out several clutches of American wood ducks in my younger years. They are truly beautiful and docile creatures. We had one hen return yearly for several years to hatch out babies and walk them half a mile to a local pond. Quite an impressive feat!
I had a family of peacocks that would eat from my hand. One year they had about 5 babies. The parents would take the whole family and I would be surrounded by baby peacocks on my door step. It was the sweetest thing!
I love how the ducks run up with their mouths agape, and I love how the ducklings were ready to eat out of your hand because their parents demonstrated how you are a safe provider of food. So cute :)
word around the pond was there is a lovely young lady with plenty of treats :) how wonderful to find wildlife parents trusting with their young ones! cheers
Never been notified for ages of your videos so am working backward .TH-cam playing games These are wonderful .What proud parents Mr and Mrs are .. In a world going doo ally Nature is the stability factor ..Fabulous .news of the best kind ..Greetings to all your birds and self from Berlin :)👍👏🏻💚🤗
OMG!!!!!! Ducklings being raised in your own backyard??!! I'm even more astounded at how calm you are with them!! Haha I know that's the right way to be, but I honestly couldn't not be making little squeals and talking in a baby voice to em!! Congratulations on being a birb godparent!! 🦆😇🥰
Welcome to the extended family - be warned, this is how it starts - I now have 46 adult Canada Geese fly to me when they see me, be afraid, be very afraid!
Thing about Wood ducks is that they will nest on top of each other so 1 pair could actually be raising 2 or 3 different female's broods . Last year I had pair Wood Ducks had 27 ducklings on my property. This year mainly large flocks of black swans on the creek. They are noisy and very territorial.
8 Little balls of fluff on little legs......that is so cute! 🐤🐥🐤🐥🐤🐥🐤🐥❤❤❤ The magpie that can be heard in the background also wants attention.....must be jealous of the ducklings. 😄
I don't think there's a cuter way to start off a Friday morning then a video of little fluffy beauties and their parents 🤗 You truly are blessed. Thanks for getting up at 4am to take a video for us. Hope you have a great week ahead 😀
You're literally _THE_ bird-lady and I am so happy for you! I wish I had so many tine birdlets in my life 🥺 🐦 🐦 I'm grateful enough though that I can live vicariously through you.
Bless them! Thanks for sharing. Your going to have to work on names. I love these videos and your birds love you. It’s morning here in the UK, but what a nice video to watch while having my breakfast. Also do you know what type of duck they are?
@@BackyardBirdsofAustralia That’s for the quick response to my question. They’re lovely and you can certainly tell that the parent ducks are very proud indeed!
Brilliant, the Mother Duck looked hungry but not now! I have mallard ducks outside my house that nest and after the eggs hatch the man duck does not stay around. Your Australian ducks are definitely more civilised.
Just what was needed after a long day; so beautiful that they trust you this much n_n I love seeing ducklings whenever I do; they always brighten every kind of day
I've never seen ducks like that before. The male has a solid colour on the head, polka dots on the chest, and fine strips on his belly. That's a good way to confuse predators.
Oh god, I got a scare with the second part in the darkness. I thought I saw a Snake on the left there..........Bit disappointed that the Father duck didn't get any food. Those ducklings are so beautiful.
Wood ducks are so unbelievably cute!!! I laughed at how the mum ran towards you, for food brining the babies while simultaneously with mouth open telling you to get away from the babies 😂 She seemed super hungry! Hungry from sitting on all those eggs for so long maybe.
Oh how beautiful! I love their little feet and their feathers are so fluffy! 💕 Seems like swimming lessons in the dark reduces risk from predators? 🤔. I hope they all survive cos they are so lovely. Thankyou!
Amazing to see all the little ones come up to you like they've known you for a long time.

Sounds amazing!
@Sean Bayley no they look completely different. More similar to Mandarin ducks. Just not quite as fancy lol.
MORNING DUCKIES!!!! Great to see the ducklings being so quick to accept you xo
😁💚💛
Congratulations, you're a duck grandma! 🎉
Those fluffballs are super cute. 😊
This reminds me of the blue jays that have been bringing their babies to my porch for the past 4 years.
Dad standing back and letting mum and the kids eat.
I had a family of peacocks that would eat from my hand. One year they had about 5 babies. The parents would take the whole family and I would be surrounded by baby peacocks on my door step. It was the sweetest thing!
"I'm not planning to really feed them." Furious quacking ensues.
Aww, their first family dineout!
So , So , Beautiful . Thank-You .
My heart dropped when I saw themmmm🥹
I love how the ducks run up with their mouths agape, and I love how the ducklings were ready to eat out of your hand because their parents demonstrated how you are a safe provider of food. So cute :)
Jeez you’re gonna need more feed ❤

This is the cutest video I've ever seen!

I like how the dad just stands back while his wife eats most of the food
So cool ...the ducks know you and trust you why they were brought to you he he 😂 special moment in time x

There is nothing like seeing and hearing baby ducklings. That's melt your heart material right there. ❤

Thank you! They're Australian Wood Ducks/Maned Ducks/Maned Geese
@@BackyardBirdsofAustralia That’s for the quick response to my question. They’re lovely and you can certainly tell that the parent ducks are very proud indeed!
Talk about a cuteness overload. Baby ducks are the cutest. I love how the family basically comes running when they see you. I am envious for sure.
Yeah it was amazing how quick the parents were to introduce me!
Thank you for this footage! But, why you up at 4am? Stay in bed, it's nice and cozy!
What a paradise you have!

How special. Very cool and cute ❤
Awww so cute, for a moment I thought that the video was accelerated because of the lightening speed the adult duck was eating ahahhaha
I love your pool converted to happy duck habitat!
What beautiful duckies! ♥️♥️♥️.
It's amazing how they sleep in the water because it's so much safer for them, especially the babies.

Cuteness overload!

Soooooopah cute 🥰
Looks like you'll need a night vision camera soon!
Cutest video ever!
So cute. 😄
Beautful family. 8 balls of fluff. Pool thing is funny but natural in ponds.
I love ducks.
So cute! They look like Mallard ducklings - except all of the white on these would be yellow on the Mallards.
So cute
Awesome video love the birds
So cute!
