We had a single loner cocky who'd show up when we feed the lorikeets. The local cocky flock noticed and are trying to take over. And they wreck stuff if you let them. Sad because the loner cocky was nice and didn't cause issues.
That's exactly what they're doing. For real. When the point their bills at the sky like they were doing, that is the gesture among many waterfowl for "fly".
Cockatoos have so much character, fairly demanding though. Was worried for a moment when you were talking about his beak saying let me show you, thinking please don’t,lol. Hope you had a Happy New Year🎊!
3:20 She said that Cockatoos are quite unpredictable. Our friend is being very nice, we all know they are hell birds once learning language they scream and cuss.
Weather looks nice there. We had a major snow storm. I found one of my chickens roosting in it. Chickens wont walk in deep snow. I had to break the ice off her and take her inside the hen house. The opening was 15 feet away.
Did you notice how the ducks were throwing their heads back and pointing at the sky with their bills? That's a gesture for flocks to fly common to many species of ducks and geese. It is usually done with a lot of noise, although among some species, it can be done as a silent thing if they feel they are in danger. It's something which is always done by North American Canada geese, along with turning into the wind. Shelducks and even screamers all do it. The behaviour seems to be absent only in the smaller ducks (teals, and shovelers) and the mallard family and their relatives (including the Pacific duck). The behaviour seems only to occur in the Anseriforms.... the family which contains ducks, geese, swans, and screamers.
What a beautiful cocky! It has obviously been to your place before do you think? I mean he must remember you and getting a cheeky free snack!? Please keep making videos of this length with your commentary, I love you voice 😊 I still hold out hope I will see the face behind the voice ❤ Give chooky and great big hug and handful of sunflower seeds 😘
Lol, you fed the cockatoo from a protein powder measuring "spoon" (whatever it's called). It's proof you don't just say you lift :D. (I'm joking ofc, there's a small gym in your house and your palms show signs of heavy lifting as I noticed before). And with this, I'm off to the gym, it's arm day (biceps+triceps) today.

Cockatoo: Stop filming them ducks and feed me
I fed a cockatoo once next day he showed up at 7am with 20 of his mates

Yep 🙂
I love the cockatoo
Cockatoos are really cheeky and cute but yeah, they sure can bite hard and they can be aggressive as well
From my perspective as a US-American, you are so lucky to have such a diversity of "cheeky" birds right in your own backyard 🙂
It was like the ducks were standing into the wind running through a pre-takeoff checklist, lol.
Yeah they're awesome 🙂
I once had a cockatoo take my glasses off in a split second. Boy, was I surprised! No damage to glasses or my nose.
Wow!
Funny parrots.
Adorable ❤❤❤
That noise the ducks make at night is mildly terrifying. I love it, thank you
I love the House Sparrows and Starlings who appear near me in England, but his is something quite lovely to see.
Aw, look at the too showing off their crest! I love when they do it after landing, because it's like they are announcing their presence to everyone.
Love the dexterous grab of the cup.
Are the glass-walls a protection against crocodiles?
I hope the birds don't crash against the glass walls.

Imagine being so used to cockatoos that you are unwilling to risk a finger.
Hahaha, I'd have none left!
They are usually in a flock. This fella might be an escapee.

Think the Poolman needs to pay a visit.
I’ve always wondered, is that a pool or a pond? The backyard is so cool especially with so many cute visitors
The birds are starting to make plans. Soon you will get more friends wanting seeds.

I remember when that group of cockatoos "attacked" your finger in your other video and drew blood th-cam.com/video/FIium3V3-m4/w-d-xo.html
I think I'd rather feed the ducks. Less chance of injury.
The ducks are pretty cute ❤
