A couple things we wanted to mention regarding our Hawaii vlogs: 1. The “Big Island” is officially called the island of Hawaii, but we may refer to it as the “Big Island” from time to time, as it is a more commonly known term worldwide and we want to avoid any confusion by making it clear which island we were on. 2. We likely mispronounced many Hawaiian words, so we apologize in advance. We tried our hardest!
Cool video - enjoyed it. After that windy hike to Green Sand Beach - The tacos at Shaka’s looked so delicious. They offered 3 tacos for $11 - rather than ordering the 8 tacos at $4 each, order 9 tacos for $33.
So glad you made it to the olivine beach. When I was young we made jewelry sold in stores with olivine as it’s a beautiful green stone. It’s pronounced oliveen with the second i sounding like a long e sound. We love that you do a lot of local things with the food you get and places you go. 💜
I could not have asked for a better last day on Hawaii! The green sand beach was AMAZING! I feel so lucky to have experienced this green wonder that is only found in three other beaches in the world! The @Heavenly Hawaiian Farms coffee tour was such a treat...not being a coffee drinker didn’t make a difference at all in how much I loved this tour! The staff was so welcoming and their macadamia nuts covered in chocolate and ground Kona coffee beans were so delicious...the samples of coffee I drank was tasty too! Can’t recommend them enough...So friendly!
The staff was the best! And so were those treats! A little sad we didn’t get to keep our chocolate and coffee covered mac nuts, but we will just have to go back and get more 😉
As a local, I love how the Kona Airport is still an old school open air concept...it is one of the rare airports that I don't feel intimidated when inside the airport.
just watched the KONA video and i am so impressed with you two.Your videos are what the travel channel should be.Be safe as you travel. Jesus loves you!
We were there a week before Kilauea erupted in 2018 and saw a tiny bit of lava. Dang, I really want to go back to the Big Island now. Kona coffee is soooo good. That green beach and the black sand beach with the turtles looks so interesting and I need to go!!
It's one of our favorite places in the world. We've been 6 times and LOVE it every time! We hope you go and give it a shot sometime. Maui is a good first time island because it has a good mix of tourist areas and areas that are hanging onto its original charm.
Took the Heavenly Hawaii coffee tour this morning. Your review was spot on. They asked how we found them and we said that it was your visit. Great work guys. We've taken coffee tours in Costa Rica and Tanzania but HH was the best!
We visited the Heavenly Coffee Farm because of you guys and this video! Melissa was also our tour guide. She was awesome. I believe Alex did our Our Over coffee too but I’m not sure that was her name. Over all we loved the Coffee Farm tour. Thank you so much for your travel vlogs. We just retired a year ago and are enjoying traveling and appreciate so much vloggers like you guys that give us helpful hints what to see and do!!
This makes us so happy to hear! We had such a great time at their farm! Thank you so much for watching and trusting our suggestions. We’re so glad you enjoyed it! 💕
Haha, love all the bloopers/outtakes at the end! Enjoyed the Big Island playlist, will definitely be checking out those recommendations! Mahalo for the vids!
Thank you so much James! We hope to vlog the other two major islands in the future (we’re especially dying to get back to Kauai!). And those tacos were incredible-still dreaming about them! 😍
Ssshhh!!! Don’t give away the secret that is Heavenly Hawaiian!! We love them so much. We spent the day of our wedding there all day before actually getting married. And we were welcomed “home” to the farm on a return visit to Big Island. Their hospitality (and coffee and snacks) are top notch! Now we need to plan our trip back for this year! Haha. So glad it was one of your favorite things on the island! Then you punched our souls with our favorite foods at Broke da Mouth!! Only slightly jealous at the moment.
Everyone watching this vlog: it wasn’t Heavenly Hawaiian, we lied! 😉 We love y’alls story with the coffee farm! They are truly the best and we hope to stay at their farm next time. Can’t imagine anything better than waking up to those views and drinking their coffee everyday! 😍 Hahahah Broke da Mouth was the bomb! We had been excited to go there all week!
fyi: Olivine crystals are why 'Diamond Head' got its name.... people saw the shimmering on the crater, and thought it was diamonds... wow... another great video... you guys rock!
Green sand beach was amazing! Good thing you went to see for yourself! I love hiking but I actually took the ride from the locals standing in the bed of a truck. It was so much fun!
My husband is from Costa Rica, and him and his family used to pick coffee beans and helped with the entire process there. Definitely check out Costa Rica whenever y’all get a chance! Their coffee is the only coffee I’ve had where I don’t have to add anything to it! There are so many amazing rainforests and beaches there, too. Also, that green beach looked super cool! Thanks for sharing! 🌟
omg. I don't know if I'm more emotional because my 54th birthday is coming up (mid-life crisis?) or that I spent the first day of 2020 in a hospital getting an angioplasty and a stent procedure done (no worries - I'm feeling better each day), but your videos are making me tear up! You guys love Hawaii more than some 'locals'! there. I said it. People in Hawaii sometimes forget that we live in Paradise... It is expensive, and we have other problems (homeless, crime), but life is short, and we all need to enjoy it while we can... again, I am happy when you two are happy! .
You’re the best!!! As tourists, we may not have insight into ever issue a local faces, but we truly love it like it was our home! We hope you feel better! 🥰
Thanks for sharing your Big Island vacation with us! I moved to Kona 2 years ago from Seattle and you've inspired me to check out a few more tours and restaurants that just happen to be right around the corner from me. This is an amazing island! Mahalo!
Oh wow, that’s amazing! We lived in Seattle for 3 years and looooved how easy it was to get to Hawaii! It truly is an incredible island and we’re glad we gave you a few ideas 🤗🤗
Hello! Are you referring to the Green Sand Beach? Here it is on Google Maps maps.app.goo.gl/Qy8nVMGgRWvS7rAg6 Everything we did in the video is linked in the video description 🙂
I read somewhere that the air at South Point is the freshest in the world. And that most air quality is tested against what is tested at South Point. The winds are completely unobstructed from Antarctica.
Enjoyed!!! My husband and I visited Maui two years ago and loved it! We're going to Oahu in November on our way back from Australia and New Zealand,we live in Ontario. I came across your channel looking for videos of Oahu and yours was by far the best!! Thanks for some great information and tips!!
Thank you so much, we appreciate that! 💗 When we started a year ago we never expected to even have 9,000, so we couldn’t be happier that there are 9,000 people who are interested in our adventures! 🤗
i went to the same beach but it was raining so it was slippery and we couldn't go down to the sand😔, but i did like the experience and it was a great part of my trip
@@AdventuresofAplusK Any Hawaii is good Hawaii, but our heart is on Oahu. Best of everything - the city at your fingertips or take a drive and find a deserted beach!
If you had to rank the islands what would it be. I ask bc recently went to Oahu and hit a lot of your fav spots and can’t imagine any other island better than that one.
It is really hard to rank them! Our favorite is always the one we're going to next! They all have their own specialties. Kauai is more lush and undeveloped, Oahu is great for your first time to the islands and has lots of amenities, Maui is a great mix of nature and small towns, and Hawaii is lush and wet! They are all great and we love them all!
That is such a tough question! We would definitely suggest at least 7 days to explore the Big Island fully, but you could do it in less and miss a few things. We still had a lot we would’ve loved to see and do and we didn’t have many days that were just relaxing by the beach. Oahu may be easier to do in 6 days and a good mix of hikes, beaches, and activities (we have videos from Oahu too!).
@@AdventuresofAplusK Thank you so much, it has definitely been a hard decision for us to try and make but your videos have been so helpful. Thank you so much for posting them we love them all!!!!

Yes it is! Thanks for watching!
Manny,s Kitchen bout 20 mins outside of Kona has some of the best tacos :p
Good to know. Thanks!

Happy to do it! 😘
Totally worth the trip. We hitched a ride in a 4x4 pickup with the locals to the green sand beach. One of the most beautiful spots in Hawaii!
Nice! The beach is super cool!

I've always felt like a weirdo for not being much interested in Hawaii, but you've actually given me some real interest in The Islands.

The airport is so beautiful! Although, it may be a tad tricky when it rains lol! And we’re so glad you enjoyed it 🤗
Fish tacos are the best tacos. Whenever I eventually make it to Hawaii, I’m visiting that coffee farm, it’s sounds amazing!!
It was an incredible experience! Such welcoming and fun people who treat you like they’ve known you forever! 🙌🏼🤗
Are the taco sauces spicy? We'll be there in about 6 months. Love your vlogs!!!
We didn’t find them to be too spicy, but everyone’s tolerance is different. We hope y’all have a great trip! Thanks and thanks for watching!
