A couple things we wanted to mention regarding our Hawaii vlogs: 1. The “Big Island” is officially called the island of Hawaii, but we may refer to it as the “Big Island” from time to time, as it is a more commonly known term worldwide and we want to avoid any confusion by making it clear which island we were on. 2. We likely mispronounced many Hawaiian words, so we apologize in advance. We tried our hardest!
You did fine. The green sauce on the Peruvian Tamale is chimichurri sauce. I love those tamales and she sells out by early afternoon. I’m glad you got one!
Great video. Lived Hilo all my life. Born and raised there. Now I'm in california. Watching this video really made me miss Hilo. Love my home town. It's so chill laid back. Can't wait to go back. Keep up the great videos.
LOVED IT... 😆 That was another fun, yummy and beautiful day! I can’t say it enough...you two are so much fun to watch and listen to...you truly look like you are having the time of your lives together...warms my heart! Adam, thanks for helping me with my nose! 🤣. Loved loved loved the bloopers...they really flowed well!
I’m glad you’re enjoying your trip to the Big Island. Can’t wait to see your trip to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Too bad you can’t go up to Mauna Kea right now and see the snow, if it’s snowing, because of the protest going on. FYI Mauna Kea is one of the the tallest mountains in the world. If not THE tallest. That’s because much of the volcano is underwater. It beats Mt. Everest by a mile.
Only thing wrong with this video was it wasn’t long enough 😪 but thanks guys you crammed so much in ! I learn something new every time I watch you guys 👌👏👏👏👏
Got to say you two are so much to watch, we love Hawaii too. We may have just missed you two we were on the Big Island the week of Aug. 22. Next time stop at the Low Store along the scenic route for Hawaiian shave ice. Also take the time to visit the Pacific Tsunami museum, great place with lots of history of Hilo. We are so ready to go back, we love Hilo.
At the bottom of the hill of that scenic route is a botanical garden. The admission is modestly priced, but you walk down this huge suspension foot bridge and go by waterfalls and all kinds of plantings/orchids etc. I think we spent a couple hours there as we took our time.🌈😃🤙

I'm so excited to visit Hilo soon and Makani's Pineapple Shack! We live on Oahu but due to COVID-19 our island economy has been shut down and we can't go to the mainland without having to quarantine for 14 days. We are free to travel inter-island with $29 one way, limited time only fares so we will go! Thanks for your awesome vids, really helpful!!
Wow what an amazing fare! Is it normally that affordable? And it is probably super nice to have the islands to yourselves for a while, although we have definitely been thinking about Hawaii and know that the lack of tourism has probably been very hard for businesses.
@@AdventuresofAplusKHawaii is very dependent on tourism and right now things are shutting down left and right, including long-time established businesses from far back as 1970 - so very sad.
