Exploring an 18th Century Fortress in Florianopolis

- We had the good fortune of being the lone visitors to Forte de São José da Ponta Grossa on this fine day. For a small fee of (15 reais per person) we got to explore the grounds and all of the buildings that make up the fortress. There are many different plaques throughout the grounds with information on the fortress and its history. The original Church remains unchanged and is still functioning to this day.

Oh it is fantastic for safety. At least where we live and every neighborhood I have been to on the island me and my wife have never felt like we did when we would visit Rio
