Great job as usual. 👍 New wheels are definitely an improvement, but you can't beat the original 1.9 wheels (but I guess they would not clear the brembos).
Love this 205 , had 1.9 years ago and it stuck to the road like shit to a blanket!! This one sounds awesome and goes well to !!! Great channel mate need more vids mate ❤
The sight of someone in the bay next to me, cutting an enormous hole in the roof of brand new cars with a jigsaw. 😩 That’s what people wanted back in the day.
Enjoy the road tests Paul! Keep 'em up. Sounds like a properly sorted motor that wouldn't be too tragic as an almost daily driver with power steering and windows etc. Was just wondering about your Nova, so glad to hear we'll get an update soon...
Excellent video, informative, serious but fun from you Paul & now your twin showed up to assist, (not camera shy)😋 Always a full description of the work required, parts, options and the removal and installation of the replacements. One of the few hot hatches I didn't own back in the day. Definitely gonna be purchasing a few for this little beauty. Keep us updated with the Nova please. Always Gr8 work from you 👍
I'm going to have to check the seats on my 205 now you've pointed out those little plastic bungs. One thing that car lacked was the front driving lights, it would have good to have those installed.
Great video as always Paul, not sure about your assistant though! I'd prefer to see it sat on original alloys but maybe they won't fit over those uprated brakes?
Got to admit I'm not really into cars but do love your videos. Must be your charisma😜. Looking forward to the Cosworth though if you're going to post a video on it. Thanks.
Can you have a word with Dream Car Giveaways to get them to run the competition as your videos are released? It's torture having to keep checking their website to see if it's on there 😂
This highlights buying used modified cars, so many small issues with that due to poor build/not got a clue what they were doing. You never know what chimp has put it together. Finally sorted now though.
Respect for the vlog 🙏...but hey, these 🚗 car's are 🐕 doo dar.. (massively)...had a 309.g.t.i. back in the day...fookin hell, never again....look good, pure nightmare.....got shut super quick....bought an astra G.T.E..now then sir, we're talking.....respect
this brings a smile on my face, old 205 GTI owner, 1.6 and a 1.9, loved them both so much, but kids came and back to family cars it was...:(
I had an Mi16 converted 205 back around 2008, 180bhp, totally stripped and caged, epic car, beat a lot of expensive motors of the time!
what a machine...great skills with the welding and the 3d printing and whatnot
How you haven’t got hundreds of thousands of subs is mad, you’re content is awesome. Keep the vids rolling please 👍👍
Best channel on TH-cam by a country mile. Well done mate 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Cheers buddy, means a lot that does 👍👍
@@ODDAutos no problem mate!!! love the content and and the way you get through the job list…all the cars are mega as well 👌🏻
agreed
21:14 that sounds lovely!! excellent work!
Nothing better than throttle bodies or webers on full chat 😍
Great job as usual. 👍

Beautifull car had 2 back in the day. The wheels are terrible tho def need standard 19 wheels
No
Lovely job Paul. Can’t beat the sound of throttle bodies.😊
This was my first episode watching. Wow! Absolute class. Clear , precise and natural behind the camera . Another subscriber here. Keep them coming 👌
Thank you mate, glad you liked it! You’ve got a few vids to go though now 👍
Ha ha ha the look on your face when you gave it the beans........Priceless
I rolled one of these on a b road 3am after a rave out my tree
Best car resto channel on the tube 💯😊
Had one of these same colour in my 20s with the mi16 engine fitted. Great fun
Just as well you have to give these cars back; your back garden would be full by now. Another great vid.
Great video mate, for me this is the best Peugeot ever made alongside the 308 GTi
I remember assisting fitting them massive crappy sunroofs 30 years ago.
Great video dude.👍👍😎😎
The sight of someone in the bay next to me, cutting an enormous hole in the roof of brand new cars with a jigsaw. 😩 That’s what people wanted back in the day.
@@chrisblay exactly,a proper bum clenching moment, only 1 chance to get it right.
I used to fit sunroofs back in the day, remember one guy cut out a large hole and it was a medium sunroof and fell straight through onto the seats🤣

Another great video Paul, I remember these blasting around in the 90s Max power days with RS Turbos and Astra GTEs. These out handled everything
Excellent video, informative, serious but fun from you Paul & now your twin showed up to assist, (not camera shy)😋

Always do mate 👍👍🤣
Love that sound and wow the smile on your face … Great vid thankyou..
Spitting sound... no that's coolant. Priceless! Love your videos

I forgot to say there’s some body coloured covers to go on them, there being painted at the moment 👍
Love it. I’m lucky enough to have a 1.9 GTI bought it for pennies in 07. Must get it done.
Another great video mate 👍
They are great to drive mate, yes get it out when it’s sunny…. If it is this year 👍
Awesome as always Paul. 👌🏻 heavy nostalgia hearing that engine note. Had a 306 gti 6 once upon a time. Awesome cars.
Can't wait to watch the nova. Real soft spot for them 👍 loving the videos mate 👍
Cheers Nathan, yes should be fun running the nova 👍
Great video odd autos, great work 👌, what an amazing car,it's an absolute weapon 👌👍😀
Great job pal, I’m going to have a go on that. They buy some nice stuff to be fair
I’m glad they do lots of the classics 👍
Nice motor Paul. Some easy fixes there for you. Goes like a train (60 my arse!). Great vid ,ate keep em coming.
Cheers Paul 👍. That’s right always stick to the 60…
I had two in miami blue love the old gti
Hi Paul, great video, nice little pocket rocket. 👍👍
Great video again Paul, and even better sound out of that machine!! Love it
Great video Paul I haven’t seen a 205 git for many years nice to see something different
Yes they are few and far between now, don’t see many on the roads 👍
Great video as always Paul, not sure about your assistant though! I'd prefer to see it sat on original alloys but maybe they won't fit over those uprated brakes?
I fired the assistant, was too lazy 🤣
Niiice. That would have been a real dream car in it's day. Very cool now.
Got to admit I'm not really into cars but do love your videos. Must be your charisma😜. Looking forward to the
Cosworth though if you're going to post a video on it. Thanks.
Ha ha the nice calm approach to fixing classics 👍
Great show keep up the good work, love the road test😮
Hi, was the XS the same spec as a rally, I've driven the XS and it was great fun
That definitely doesn’t look like ph2 Miami blue to me. Would still like a go in it mind!
Brilliant content just need more regular videos 👍🏻
Lovely motor, sound quality. Keep the videos coming mate
Cheers Mick, will do 👍
Cracking car
Nice job
Canny wait for cossy

Great video and car as always 👍 hopefully u r keeping your head aboth water 🤔
It’s a shame we never got 205 GTI here in the states. We only got 405 MI16 😊
It wants its wheels back. They're best stock, apart from the stock problem of stalling under hard braking.
Does it have standard rear brakes for the GTi? They look identical to the Clio 172/182 rears.
Great job as always mate. Top motor 😍
Cheers David 👍
Another great video Paul lovely car love your content cheers 🍻
Cheers buddy 👍👍
Have you got your own routine when you do the PDI or do you just go through it like a mot and keep an eye out for anything else broken along the way?
Looking forward to nova mate
Do you reckon the 300 or 350lbs springs would have been better
lovley machine, those wheels suit it to the bone !!!
This highlights buying used modified cars, so many small issues with that due to poor build/not got a clue what they were doing. You never know what chimp has put it together. Finally sorted now though.
Looks super pretty
Is it running throttle bodies??
Old cars are definitely cooler than the new ones.
Paul, another great video, how did you get the following rear view shots on the road test?
I’ve bought a 360 camera, just was praying it didn’t fall off the car all road test ha ha
Great video matey 👌🏻
Where’s the kit car video gone? Was looking forward to that series mate
No idea why but it was bottom 3 out of last 50 videos for views, I guess most didn’t like it bud. 🤷♂️
@@ODDAutos such a shame! Should definitely keep it going if you can, I own a locost 7 so was great fun to watch!
I don’t think I’d have swapped back the the old front springs as the dampers aren’t designed for a different spring rate ……
Excellent video 👍
Shame all mechanics can’t have your work ethic or attention to detail👍🏻
Slow and steady wins the race 🤣. I always take my time to be fair, do it all properly then 👍
How's the overspray all over the gearbox and front crossmember 😂
It’s just dust mate
This is the ideal 205 setup with the XU10J4, what a weapon.
Smart but should put the 1.9 GTI wheels on it

Would standard wheels not fit ?
Great video! Thank you!

Great car. Except mine broke every 2 weeks.
288 bhp?

Is that a diesel crank?
Another top video 👊🏻
The best colour.
Another nice fix 👍
Love u channel do u give advice?
Superb video 👍

Love a 205GTi (but prefer the 5 Gt Turbo)😂
It was a hard choice back in the day, R5 for acceleration or a 205 for the handling
@@ODDAutos5 handled better too
