- Kevin Gausman has had quite the incredible journey through Major League Baseball. A top draft pick and prospect of the Baltimore Orioles, Gausman struggled early in his career with the Orioles, Atlanta Braves, and Cincinnati Reds. But after signing with the San Francisco Giants, Gausman has transformed himself into an ace pitcher, and signed with the Toronto Blue Jays to lead their rotation. Let's look at Gausman's remarkable journey and how he went from a potential bust, to one of the top aces in baseball.

Good to see the Gasman putting it together. As an O's fan, there was some frustration at his potential never quite manifesting, but his stuff was clearly good, just not consistent. So long as he doesn't play for the Yanks, or beat the O's, I wish him success and I'm glad to see him put his talent on display consistently.
It's always so frustrating to watch a player be a step or two away from putting it all together
@@SmartrBaseball I wonder what the current coaching staff would do with him. They seem to be pretty great at developing pitchers with good stuff but lacking consistency. But he seems like he landed in a good place.
Great video ❤ keep it up man 🙌
Appreciate you so much, you a Jays fan?
@@SmartrBaseball got used to Jays after Bautista's homer ;) fell to this sport when I was 26 y.o. 5 years ago, originally from Russia, right now, I live in Dubai and really like baseball in general (playing in amateur league here)
keep up the good work, man - your videos are unique and some day they will get recognized widely
Almost 600 Ks and 500 innings with the best FIP and 2nd most WAR in the majors over the last 3 years is crazy
And I feel like he hasn't gotten the same recognition as the other top starters, don't know if you feel the same?
@@SmartrBaseball yeah seems like the Jays as a whole don’t get a ton of coverage it seems
Funny how there have been more than just him that have left Baltimore and turned their career around.
You think that's something with Baltimore being able to develop pitchers?
now that i think about it, in the last 20 years how many quality starters have the orioles actually developed?
Do a video on Justin Steele at some point!
