Well, it doesn't look like the bridge was too badly wrecked after the fire. That's good. The Kettle Valley Railroad which operated this opened the line around 1915 and this part of the line was abandoned shortly after 1959. As a little sidestory, Exit 192, or somewhere in that vicinity on the way up there, was the site of the KVR's most notable accident, when a train loaded with coal, lead, and zinc ingots lost its brakes and derailed in 1926, killing at least 12 people in a spectacular crash.
Well I suppose if you want a really really big boat to go fishing you bring your own 😅 I’ve seen photos of this train track but even I’m curious! 😍 thank you for sharing this! I am TOTALLY not going to do the right rope though 😱
Yeah me too. Seen photos but had never gone. Google lead us to the wrong destination but ultimately worth the journey. If you do go, just walking on the bridge was enough to freak me out haha.
@@youtubebydoug Not without a whole lotta gear leading TO the tight rope part I won't lol! Otherwise you'd see me slide all the way down the slope and off 😅
Why was the bridge taken down? I've been across that bridge by train years ago with my Nana. We were in the dining car and she told me to look out the window. I thought I was going to lose my lunch when I looked out and realized where we were. Riding high above the Fraser River. I could see the rapid water churning below. I didn't know that this bridge was no longer in use. Never mind, I know now

Never knew this. Should have brought you along with me!
They have gated it off. To many viral vids giving away the location as per usual. 😮
Is it still accessible?
