It's a finely detailed body. Not perfectly accurate, but close enough for most!

So, I really hope your not getting tired of me and my questions, I have seen your videos on the trail finder 2 Marlin crawler edition, and the hacks to improve it, shock springs, and leaf springs, if you where to just upgrade the shocks what would you use, I also saw the red leaf spring up grade. I guess I am just wanting to know what parts you would up grade on the Marlin Crawler? Should have just said that first.. sorry. Love your you tube channel.
Outside of the upgrade video stuff, I haven't changed anything. Shocks don't really do anything, as they're just there for stability. The leafs are doing all the work.
Well. Ow I have to get a marlin crawler since the wheelbase is exact for this and at the minimum two of these 4Runner bodies one to actually drive hard with and one to be a shelf queen! Thanks rc4wd now I’m gonna be broke again! 😂👌🏼👍🏼🔥

These bodies are expensive but well worth it, I'm slowly saving up for a nice RC4wd body looks like a hell of a project.

That's really cool.. Make me miss the days when I worked at Toyota. I have had a white,grey and a red 4Runners that body style. There great trucks. This mite need to be my first hard body build. You've got me addicted to scale building. I mite need to go to rehab. We only have scx10 ii chassis's. So I will need to get a new kit with this body? Or GCM front transmission kit? Really like GCM guys.
This looks very cool and will be a challenge to make , just wish that they had 1 option were us Aussies could make it with the right hand drive dashboard

It's pretty freakin sweet how far scale trailers have come in such a short period of time. Now, if only I could afford this kit. 😑
4runner was an afterthought here in oz. The mainstay is the hilux, in that class of 4x4. I'd be impressed if someone came up with a patrol or later model landcruiser wagon.

For me, this is the best looking version of the 4 Runner. Wish they'd make a Bronco ll body.

Only complaint I see (in the photos of their example build in their website) is lack of inner wheel wells. Other than that it looks awesome! Building this would take me back to my childhood in the late 1950's to 70's building 1/24th scale model cars. My brother and I were big into model cars, cutting out the doors, hood, glove box, etc. and making our own hinges. Fully detailing the engine, adding brake lines, etc.

Do you have a video of this body being put together/done? I’m looking into scale building this body on a tf2 (first build) probably not the best choice for difficulty level but I love this body and trying to have a little build off competition with some buddies this coming winter and I think this will put it over the edge just enough
My cousin had a 1:1 85 4runner, it was super rusted. Like his fenders and quarter panels. Where Swiss Cheese, I'm surprised it didn't collapse.

Looks really nice. I'm not crazy about how big the sprue tabs (where the molded parts connect to the sprue tree) are and some of there locations. I would think in today's day and age they could have made them smaller and maybe located them in more non critical areas. Especially the clear parts. Those usually splinter easier when removing them from the tree.

Even back then some of us loved the original FJs, about sold some body parts for my first one... then it moved on to the 4Runner and the Land Cruiser.

Not without some hacking away of the interior. It was designed for the TF2.
where this body mounts screws goes, there is for sure the biggest weak-point. but details are supercool

It is 9th scale. As proven by ruler. I've got a bunch of projects on the go. I'll get to it.

No, it was designed for the RC4WD TF2 and Marlin TF2. You will need to make significant modifications to either the drivetrain or interior to fit it on an SCX10II.
Looks fantastic but it’s a shame they didn’t do Killerbody and include the right hand drive dash.

You'd need to shorten your wheelbase and trim the inner fenders.

Anything will fit with enough trimming. You'd need to adjust the wheelbase.
