I was having issues with janky shadows, I followed this and found that changing from "progressive" to "enlighten" solved it. Thanks so much.

Actually great info, I've never seen anyone talk about how to overwrite baked lightmap to remove light. I always felt this was a great disadvantage of baked lighting. Probably the main reason why you can't shoot out lights in many games, because the indirect light would still be visible around the lamp. The projector hack is nice, maybe I get to use that here and there. Thanks!

4 years later and this is the first video that made me realize u can just delete the directional light and build with planes then fake the lighting

How would this work with moving objects? Like players and enemies

It seems I can't use projectors like @ 3:40 in your video because I'm using URP. Is there an alternative way to using projectors in URP like you did in this video? I really like your dark rooms technique

I'm a little late to your comment but it seems projectors are basically built into unity in 2022.3.9 version at least, you would have to create your own shadow texture but it should still work the same

I've had difficulties with both light and reflection probes, and normal maps. I found out baked lighting doesnt interact with specular maps and normal maps go flat. Why isn't this built into unity? I am forced to use mixed lighting cause of it, wich kinda defeats the point imo

Hi, Great video, Great game. How did you achieve the green siren-esque light mate? I want the same sort of effect. Could you point me in the right direction. I am new to unity 3D.

What should I do if assets I bought from the asset store don't have the option to 'Generate Lightmap UVs'?
most of the objects in my project dont have this option and as a result they look very washed out, like a white/grey color has been applied to them.

Hello, I have quite a large amount of lights in a scene and a substantial number of objects in the level. However it seems that my lightmapping will take over five days, and that time continues to increase as the light baking runs throughout the day. Is there a way to optimize this process?

Some good information, sadly harder to work with due to how dated this video is, unity has changed a fair bit, even that asset pack isn't available anymore..

It is too quick, I can't follow your steps even by slowing down the speed to 0,5.
