You are awesome too!! I never prime anything with black for exactly the reasons you discovered. If I'm in a hurry, I will base coat with a light color, wash with a dark, and then finish with a saturated dry brush. 3 steps and done.
Glad to see you back! And what a lovely mini
Thank you!
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
That's a great mini/paint job - I'm really enjoying the possibilities of bright underpainting/undercoating too - feels like it'd be good for high fantasy or a frostgrave/mordheim/cursed city warband or something
Thank you! I totally agree! I'm looking forward to painting more Relicblade like this
Cool model and paint job. I still can't get the hang of pro acryl but you make it look really nice
Thank you! It's a very hydrophilic paint, but I really enjoy using it
This model is runnin wild!
Hahaha YES!!
Now listen up here, brother! The Hulkster is not The American Badass! Now check out the 22-inch pythons! Watcha ya gonna do, brother!?
Nice paint job. I am experimenting with molotow one4all as primers. They are awesome for underpainting.
Whatcha gonna do when the Hulkamania runs wild on you?!
Thanks. That sounds awesome
if you dont mind me asking where did you get the music from?
I get all my music from Epidemic sound
Great video! And definitely a cool technique. I would love to see how this translates to something a little less gritty. Like Tau for instance, the smoother nature of the models (in my opinion) makes this pretty hard to execute in the same way.
Thanks Sean! I mean, why would you paint Tau hahahaha ;) I think you could certainly use the underpainting, but change the brush strokes a bit. Definitely an interesting thought...maybe I'll have to try it out.
@@CaffeinatedMiniatures I will say Railgun go brrrrrrrrrr!
Yeah, I do a version of the underpainting for my vehicles and stuff. The sketchier style would be harder to translate but I think it COULD be cool. Just not sure exactly what it looks like.
@@itwassean awesome! I'll be painting some Voting, so we'll see how it goes
Actually Jarrid, no. YOU are awesome. I love this underpaint idea. I need to use my airbrush more I think!
No. YOU!! Obviously, you could do the same thing with the brush. I definitely enjoy using the airbrush for it though
I also thought Hulk Hogan when You showed the print. Turned out fantastic! Mostly great, not at all shit.
Truly appreciate it, Carl!
