I absolutely adore the almost impressionistic* style of your spec-ops ork - feels almost like a sketch done with something waxy, can almost see the texture of the parchment or canvas. Your approach to layering reminds me of how I painted my favourite piece ever (a Khador Warjack, sadly sold years ago). I'm definitely going to have a crack at this approach in my next model. * ehhhhh... I'm a bit fuzzy when it comes to art words, might be the wrong one

Honestly the loose painting of your "shitty painting" reminds me of the feel of some of the art by John Blanch that was really foundational to the early lore for 40k and Mordhime.

havent played yet, but heard the rules sytem is dated and pretty bad. The PERFECT game is Song of Blades and Heros. Stat any miniature, use any miniature, all the scenarios from this game have been converted over, fast, fun and deadly. Also has a amazing campaign system. Its like a fixed Mordheim ruleset from what I have heard.

Really great to see more Malifaux models being painted. I'd love to see you paint one of the hard plastic minis as the detail on them is generally a lot better. Also, Malifaux is a fabrastic game and if anyone's looking to get away from the formulaic GW games, i highly recommend giving it a go!

Loved Mordheim back in the day, - but today I have noone to play with, so now I play the digital version (Mordheim, City of the Damned, from 2015) and it´s actually pretty well made.

While I appreciate the video, the content had almost nothing to do with the title (I think every viewer expected you to say WHY Mordheim is the perfect fantasy game... and support your title. I don't mind the painting VLOG and I don't know if this is intentional clickbait- there's a theme growing with content creators of using unsupported click bait titles, and lol- it's backfiring as people are leaving their channels). I enjoyed hobby food but it's not what it said on the wrapper.

I painted a mini for a board game tonight and the character card featured clothes that were off-white and beige. I usually stick pretty close to the reference art but just couldn't do it tonight and used vibrant yellow and orange as the main colors with a small splash of dark red. By pure chance, this video was recommended by TH-cam almost as soon as I had finished painting. Needless to say, I agree wholeheartedly that sometimes you just need to let it rip with bold colors. You can have some fun and get a gorgeous mini at the same time!
