    From Gigabyte support I got this information about the exact patch sizes:
    60mm x 5mm x 1.25mm
    60mm x 9mm x 1.25mm
    27mm x 8.1mm x 1mm
    27mm x 14.2mm x 0.75mm
    40mm x 14.2mm x 0.75mm (2pcs)
    So that would be 0.75mm thickness for the VRAMs and 1.25mm for the VRMs and 1mm for that remaining patch.

    Do you not specify what pad thicknesses you used? My God, one of the most important things you could have shared. I'll view again, maybe I missed it?

    You should try phase-change material Honeywell PTM7950. It comes in as a sheet, lasts longer and performs works better than traditional pastes. On the power section (vrm) and vrams I advice to give thermal putty Upsiren UX Pro.

    the noctua paste will pump out fast as well, arctic silver 5 is probably the best paste all round in my experience.

    Thx for the video ! I have the exact same card and was going to clean it today so this is perfect :) I do have an additional question, i saw online that people added pads on the back plate so create additional contact for the cooling of the cards, is it something you would recommand ?

    • @MATechPH
      @MATechPH  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, if I remember correctly it came with thermal pads on the back
      If incase yours doesn't have, you can also place them where the VRAM should be located.

    Question... is it normal that it's very hard to open this up after unscrewing? I'm pulling very hard and scared to damage it.

      Hi. Probably too late for you, but yes, it is. I had to pull really hard, Be sure to pull on the metal part, not the plastic. Also there's a high chance of tearing apart some of the thermal pads in the process.

      And a quick tip is to let the gpu warm up (either by running some games or benchmarks before doing this) it makes it easier to open up your gpu

    Good afternoon, I have a board like yours, what thickness are the thermal pads on your board? Here it was 0.5.
    Another doubt which product you used with a toothbrush to clean the plaque grids where there was a sign of sea air, here I don't know what product to use to remove it, thanks!

    • @MATechPH
      @MATechPH  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It was 0.5 on the VRAM and 1.5mm I think on the chokes and power delivery IIRC.
      For corrosion, used WD-40, it helps remove it and a longer soft toothbrush or medium toothbrush om the heatsink.
