Trust me, owning one right OUTSIDE of a volcano is even worse. I always just wash off the lava when inside. But you have to scrape off the soot with a jackhammer.
I thought the same. For this amount of dust the pc had to be exposed for a long time to dust and old dust doesn’t fall of right away when you move some parts.
right? because theres no way in hell that you can afford a gaming pc with an AIO cooler but cant afford to have it cleaned or atleast buy an cheap airduster/compressed air can to monthly clean it
LOL, obviously it's fake. He just placed that dust there. If you check the RAM and other parts, some of them are so clean on the other side. That seems highly unlikely because the usual dust buildup is equal unless it's the fan itself.
@emanuelriquelme1133 that 2700x CPU is released in 2018. So unless the owner built it just to leave it idle in the garage for 5 years, it is not possible to have that much dust buildup.
I skipped forward to that part. Actually what the fuck was that lmao? "Lemme get my thermal paste application CPU out to spread the paste" that has to be for the meme or something. Not to mention that was WAY too much paste on the installed CPU, that's going to cause thermal problems.
Many people apply the stuff wrong. You only need to apply a dot of the paste, very slightly bigger than grain of rice size, directly to the middle of the CPU. The material will spread out on its own when the heatsink is installed, this method guarantees that no air pockets are left behind and that the paste is spread as thin as possible. Too much thermal paste is actually counter-productive, you are only trying to improve the thermal transfer between the CPU and the heatsink, the thermal paste will never be better at transferring heat than metal will be. Thermal paste goes into the microscopic crevices in the CPU and the heatsink in an attempt to bridge the gaps, increasing the surface area that comes in contact. Painting thermal paste onto a CPU is inefficient, messy and a waste of time.
a tip. do not blow air without the connected memories, cuz the dust and dirt will enter the slots, 1- first blow all the dust and dirt from the motherboard with the memories fixed in the slots, clean everything around even the memories connected in the slot, 2-after everything clean take out the memories and clean the memory more detail.. This will serve for any type of connector that the board has, processor, USB, 24pin and etc
The front water-cooled fan is installed backwards, which can cause a large amount of heat to be transmitted into the chassis. Graphics cards can withstand excessive heat.
this guy definitely forges these videos, it's impossible for a PC with a configuration like this to be so dirty and fucked up like this, my opinion is that he dirty on purpose to make relaxing videos PC cleaning relaxers
Yeah it feels kinda fake how the dust is spread... And on the backside is literally nothing at all. I usually clean my pc once every 6 month and on the backside is always a little bit but not much.
You should clean up PC rigs at the Best Buy store. They’re filled with filthy dust and food clumps. Na, I’m joking. Seriously, why is display only isn’t maintained?
I was going to leave a hater comment about the amount of thermal paste he used but then his method blew my mind :) 06:35 Going to look for my old Pentium4....
You cleaning techniques are impressive! 👍I do proper deep cleaning on my PC twice per year therefore no significant dirts come up on it only a little bit but the main thing is I open windows every day for 2-3 hours so the ventilation gives positive outcome to my machine!
Very nice components. It's like the beginning music. Quality and dirt flows from every side of the case. While waiting for you to wash it in soapy water in the basin, you used brush strokes like an artist and a damp cloth.
Better leave the RAM in the slot because removing it first will put some dust into the slots after starting to disconnect other things and removing the mainboard.
@@DaniloFreestyle 2 and 4 is technically better than slots 1 and 3, but frankly, in my experience, I never notice any difference in real-world performance either way.
Blowing off dust in a pc with compressed air is very dangerous. Some SMD components could be damaged or detached from the board, and the fans would spin very quickly creating electrostatic charges that could fry the circuits. I know people who dumped some GPUs in the trash after cleaning them with compressed air.
@@FreeMind4492 You're right about the fans that's why you always hold them in place even with canned air- but Im not sure what kind of air compressor you would have to use to damage soldered components. I don't think that's a real concern with any consumer air compressor.
The problem with dust in a humidity type of climate is the dust is baked on especially on the fan fins and its near to impossible to remove. I guess its case of buying those fans again if they are available
can you share your cleaning tools? please im worried about type of brush or cloth wipe that has static electricity are you using anti esd brushes or specific towels?
Honestly I do not get, how someone can let get PC so dirty especially when you look through the glass and being iluminated by ARGB you can easily see this mess. Since I bought new setup with glass side panel, every week I spend 5 minutes vacuum cleaning easily accessible parts and each 6 month I do deep cleaning where I dismount motherboard, power supply and change thermal grease for new one. Thanks for restoring the PC to its previous glory 🥰
How do you remove the existing thermal paste before you reapply the new one?And whats your technique for applying the paste if you dont have a spare CPU?
I had to clean a PC that was as dirty as this one, but the context was: the PC was 12 year old, never cleaned before, it was on the ground and at a bus station. So there was too much dirt and dust from vehicles all day for 12 years, and yet I could see the spots where the wind was blowing as much dirtier. This one looks staged, it's a relative new PC, and the dust is spread all over it.
the way you handle the components is terrifying, you throw them, you hit them, it's a disaster, I would never let you clean even the worst broken piece of equipment. I feel sorry for the people whose computers you cleaned
my method: 1. use a hair dryer to blow off as much of the dust as possible (i do this outside) 2. make sure you're grounded via ESD wrist wrap (ESD is a silent killer) 3. ESD brush is preferable (I thought I was the only one who uses an old toothbrush to clean their PC) 4. use IPA to clean off all the contacts and slots of RAM and GPU (NOT THE CPU SOCKET)
This type of Nzxt case for me is only an aesthetic look only, but it doesn't give good airflow. The gpu power don't loop it, just use direct from PSU. It will not be good enough currents if it's on loop.
I have been smoking next to my pc for years ash tray next to it with out side panel it never looked that bad even after I left my old one untouched for a year although my office is very well ventilated and if what you are saying is true you lungs should have more priority over your pc lol
not a good setup for the water cooler. Its better to have the tubes from the radiator on the lower side than on top, in order to prevent air getting inside the system on the long run. Other than that, the pc looks great after cleaning, and tbh, feels so satisfactory to watch something get cleaned, from dusty to shiny clean almost.
I respect the thorough cleaning job, but Im curious why not take it outside and hit it with some forced air (albeit not too forced), and blow away most of the nasty stuff before bringing it inside for a finish cleaning? If it was for the sake of the video, to show us viewers the full picture of its level of funk, then I get it... If its due to some other reason, please let us know, so I dont go screwing my rig up blowing forced air into it, like I have been doing occasionally 👀🤦♂. That thing was rough - good job!

I thought the same. For this amount of dust the pc had to be exposed for a long time to dust and old dust doesn’t fall of right away when you move some parts.
fake video
the clumping on the CPU cooler kinda shows it was either dropped in, or thrown in.
Undoubtedly. They are new pieces, it is impossible to stay like this. Not even 30 years of use would be like this.

Depending on the environment the computer is being used in, like my computer, I install a fan to push the hot air back out.
