I used to drive a 2017 Mulsanne and the flying spur a lot in my old job. Of all the luxury they have its the thickness of the wool carpeting that made me think 'wow'. The power is very odd, there fast but so smooth although I think I prefer driving the S class for longer journeys.

What's the MPG? Although if you can afford the £300k you don't need to know. Hoovies Garage bought the Turbo version of the old Bentley & its been in the garage since he bought it as it keeps bleeding mineral oil which runs everything from suspension to brakes.
It's funny because my 86' mercedes 560 SEL had way more room than that old Bentley. Maybe not quite as plush but definitely bigger. And the rear seats even reclined.

I love Bentleys when they are 12 yards long, 2 lanes wide, 65 tons of British midlands pride, hand built by old men in aprons, from 20 walnut trees, 10 cow hides and 5 sheep wools and none of that infotainment or technology BS that just gets outdated in 1 year, just good old craftsmanship and best materials in a huge comfortable road barge with unexpectedly massive overpowered engine
I had an '83 Mulsanne which would have been a better comparison, BUT wow! That new Mulsanne seems worth every penny. I'll get one in a decade (if I'm still here).
Although the new Mulsanne is an incredible piece of automotive engineering, beautifully finished, and is faster than you'd ever imagine a vehicle of that girth could be, it's got one hell of a price tag! Obviously, if you can afford it and are in the market for a big, fast and imposing limousine of a car, with every conceivable bit of luxurious tech that comes with cars of this caliber, but you also want something a bit more special and exclusive than an S-Class, then it doesn't get much better than a Mulsanne. However, for the money, the older style Bentley's, like the 8, present remarkable value for money. If you buy the right one, are handy with a set of spanners and shop in the right places for spares, then these old British Bruisers make a really enjoyable and reliable yet simple car to own, and for surprisingly little money too. The Turbo R version is even better, and not much more to buy, if you get an earlier one.

I have had the privilege of being driven in a mulliner mulsanne and i can say quite safely... it is BEAUTIFUL
