- It’s time for a Bentley vs Bentley showdown!
We’ve got our hands on the super-rare, limited edition Bentley Continental GT Speed Le Mans, and it’s going head-to-head against the Flying Spur Speed!
So how different are these two cars? Well starting with the Flying Spur, it’s powered by a 6-litre twin-turbo W12 engine that puts down 635hp and 900Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, and it tips the scales at 2,437kg. If you want to pick one up, it’ll cost around £245,000.
But that’s nothing compared to the Le Mans Edition, which costs £330,000! Under the bonnet you’ll find the same 6-litre twin-turbo W12, although power output has been increased to 659hp and 900Nm. It also has an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox, although there are a couple of unique features to be found on the inside.
The car has been built to celebrate 100 years of the Le Mans 24 Hour race, so it includes some plaques to celebrate Bentley’s six wins, as well as an engine valve from the 2003 winning car! It’s also limited to just 48 units.
The question is, does it really warrant the £330k price tag?! And will it beat the Flying Spur Speed over the quarter-mile? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

Honestly, 11.5 in the 1/4 mile was actually quite impressive for how heavy these cars are.
Tesla Model S is more or less the same weight and it is 2 sec faster (for a 1/4 mile it is a huge difference). Also Porsche 911 Turbo S is at least 1 sec faster. So for a 300k+ super car it is really disappointing actually.

@@gordonnorris4202 jeez man thats just some huge buffoonery, model S has instant torque and almost 400hp more, of couse its gonna beat it. Porsche is around 600kg lighter, and is meant to be fast, while Bentley is a luxury GT car mostly, which means to be driven fast but comfortably at high speeds(which Bentley can do pretty good). 300k+ price is because of the limited edition, Continental speed prices start from 210k, I bet you dont complain about the new Porsche s/t having a 300k+ pricetag.

@Mr1T2X1 yeah I agree. Matt gets quickest car 8 out of 10 times. The race driver guy always stuck with the slowest or a manual. Sometimes both.

Petition for Mat and Yianni to do a drag race in a super luxury but instead theyre the passenger's and the chauffeurs do the racing.
That would be so cool. Rolls-Royce Phantom versus a Mercedes Maybach. Have Matt and Yanni in the backseat in they're $2,000 Armani suits drinking champagne with a couple of beauties.

That little detail about the Bentley Matt was in actually having an engine piece, a blooming engine valve, from a winning motor, embedded into the car, is such an amazing little cool detail.

A specced up GT speed has got to be about 250,000 to a max of 280,000 probably considering base price is 230,000 so when you think you get the limited edition stuff which makes it look cool but mainly the exclusivity of there only being 48 an extra 50-80,000 isn’t too insane compared to many limited edition cars

A suggestion to Matt and the Carwow team: Matt is usually in the faster car which is a giveaway to which wins, so it would be more interesting if you mix it up a little more.
It's amazing that beasts this big can move so swiftly. I have driven both models, Sans the Le Mans version, and they are spectacular. Yanni is not getting the sense that he is moving as fast as he is because of how big and heavy that car really is.

Owning a Bentley is a bucket list thing for me but Yianni is absolutely spot on, it’s a £180k car all day every day, and that’s what it’ll be worth after 12 months, limited edition or not.
Both paint jobs are absolute delicious.

I didn’t expect that much of a gap between the two cars.
When doing sound check. Place Mic on the side of the car. As from behind software automatically reduces the volume plus mute the deepness of the sound every single time.
