- In the summer of 2015 after the finalisation of my divorce in the January I met, dated and fell hopelessly in love with a girl. I dearly wanted to marry this girl, but sadly it was never to be. She found someone else, and subsequently so did I, although i never quite forgot about her. And then out of the blue, six years later and both of us newly once again single she found me on social media, got in touch and suggested we meet up. This is the story of that evening…
My most sincere thanks go to my best friend @TheRealCaptainMustard for accompanying me on this journey down memory lane and for helping with the filming. Without his friendship, time and generosity i doubt this would ever have got made. My deepest thanks also go to all the stalwart members of my TH-cam community who have also been incredibly generous with their encouragement and support during community livestreams in the planning and build up to doing this. I couldn’t be more grateful.

I hate to admit this as a Welshman but I've on;y ever driven through north Wales. Dad always wanted to take me to Cwmbran so he could show me his stomping grounds, but we never got around to it. Clare (Kung fu Mistress) was from Caerphilly but I never got to visit her parents. It's one of the only regrets that I've never been to the land of my ancestors.
It’s never too late mate. To be fair I forgot that North Wales existed for many many years…too busy gadding around the world. Hence the whole revisiting/reconnecting thing I guess…

Did anyone else almost spit their tea out laughing when Boaty, the intrepid explorer, very matter of factly exclaimed "Someone's drawn a pair of boobs on the lighthouse door"? Quote of the day.
Seriously though, I agree. There is something very cathartic about being by the sea, especially when you have the beach pretty much to yourself. A lot of my best thinking takes place just strolling along the beach.
Sorry to hear that things didn't work out with the lady in question but hopefully it's true that what's for you won't go past you and other opportunities will present themselves. Plus, now you have a fleet of Rovers and MGs, rather than a Galaxy, who could refuse?

Yep, a deserted beach is pretty hard to beat as a place for quiet contemplation and soul searching. And yes, what will be will be. I always kind of presume that the universe knows what it’s doing and things will work out as intended. I’m so glad you enjoyed it. And that little chat was actually totally unexpected and unplanned, it was just off the cuff and fortunately I’d left the camera running. The Daily Diaries are still a thing, but I’ve had to put them in the channel members area. The reason being that continually putting out videos aimed at the most regular viewers which therefore got low views was killing the channel in terms of the algorithms which decide whether to promote your videos or not. My impressions rate is through the floor so new videos aren’t being seen and I’m going to have to try and fix that. However the algorithms don’t take account of videos for channel members, so I can stick what I like in there!

@thtmotoring from the home page of the channel or the link is in the descriptions of the videos. You do need to be on a browser though rather than an app…

OMG.. I'm only a few minutes in &was loving it so much... I didn't expect this kind of real movie format... Love story no less... And then comes along whom I'm seeing clearly for the first time.. the long-haired blonde... Whom I do admit is another cutie.. like you! Truly I was somewhat disappointed because I expected the real life story feeling to continue! Stop watching but will continue later because I must see where this goes and I'm already chuckling but I had hoped to be mushy! BTW.. YOU USED A WORD CAN I HAVE NO IDEA WOULD STILL BE IN THE MODERN ENGLISH LANGUAGE or British language..."selfsame"! I happened to recognize this word from Shakespeare's Macbeth... I once started to write what was to be a comedic MUSICAL version of Macbeth & a line in the play is..."to the self same tune and words"which was going to lead into the song.."You've got to have heart"which I think is from the Broadway show "Damn Yankees"! Macbeth is speaking to someone I believe about having courage and now I will have to look it up! YOU do have a talent! Full review next time!😅👍💯
I must admit that I really enjoyed experimenting with a different format for a video, and it’s super interesting to get feedback from an interim point of watching it as well as having seen the whole. It was intentional, my idea was to have a mushy beginning and end relating back to the actual night itself, but with a mix in the middle representing the here and now…so thank you, I really appreciate this comment!
I think you probably got fined over the new Mersey Gateway bridge since the 60s Runcorn “Silver Jubilee” bridge was shut down for years getting refurbed…..
Quite possibly! It just says the Silver Jubilee Bridge Southbound on the penalty notice…
