The carrot cake is fried to a crispy exterior, that’s how it was in the olden days.

I was afraid you would say the carrot cake smells like chicken rice.

$6.50 is not just a little bit expensive than normal hawker or coffee shop. It’s a lot more expensive.
It’s just CTK not Hokkien mee when you have prawn
$4.50 for that small portion, can’t even make me 60% full its so expensive.

Its very easy, you do not need to go eat it if you think it is expensive. What is the point of your comment?

@@ln4410 I am replying to what he said $6.50 is just a little bit expensive.
Plenty of $3-$3.50 we can find for CTK.
I didn’t say I will buy or not.

$4.5 to $6.5?!! For a plate of carbo? Carrot cake is principally made of Flour with perhaps 10% white carrot costing $1 for huge carrot. Refined palm oil is the worst oil and cheapest.

      Meta AI answer:
Both refined palm oil and canola oil have their own unique nutritional profiles and health effects.
Refined palm oil is high in saturated fats, which can increase levels of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, potentially leading to cardiovascular disease when consumed excessively. However, it is also a rich source of vitamin E and has a high smoke point, making it suitable for high-heat cooking.
On the other hand, canola oil is generally considered a healthier option due to its:
      1. Lower saturated fat content
      2. Higher levels of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats
      3. Richness in omega-3 fatty acids (alpha-linolenic acid)
      4. Lower risk of cardiovascular disease
      5. Higher smoke point, making it suitable for cooking and frying
However, it's important to note that some canola oil may be genetically modified or processed using chemicals, which could be a concern for some individuals.
Ultimately, the healthier choice between the two depends on your individual needs, dietary preferences, and cooking methods. If you're looking for a more heart-healthy option, canola oil might be the better choice. But if you're cooking at high temperatures or want a vitamin E-rich oil, refined palm oil could be a suitable option in moderation. Always opt for high-quality, expeller-pressed or cold-pressed oils whenever possible.
