The crossbow one is easy simple and creative. It also easily be improved using chopsticks. Or the main body use a paint stick which would be incredibly long giving you way more room to build up power.
Appreciate it, though I consider myself still a bit sporadic in terms of editing consistency. Once I finally get my PC built I should be able to get more comfortable with the editing software.
12:26 I remember one of my friends showing me how to make one of those using pencils, along with a bow. It was short lived, we shot someone and they started bleeding so we couldn’t use it anymore.
Okay that rubber band crossbow is actually pretty awesome. With a slightly more secure firing channel some kinda pistol grip and a doubled up band I think I could actually have some fun with it. Might have to try that now
Nah, i'd like to see a battle where everyone has to bring their own variation of the crossbow. Same materials and whatnot, but design it however you want as long as it's still a crossbow.
I could see that working, if a hole was cut in the shaft right in front of the clothespin to act as a mag well. You’d probably have to move the string around the darts and then manually slide them back into the clothespin, but it still seems doable.
@@isaacbailey3681 what about a mag on top upside down? Have it just fit on so the top dart just touches the main body of the crossbow. Then you pull the elastic band under the dart and attack to paper clip and fire. To secure the mag you would have to have something behind the paper clip that comes over it to hold the mag in place. But then your stock would need to be made out of something a little bit stronger than paper. Maybe you could make the stock a triangular prism made out of cardboard and hot glue? And I am not 100 percent sure about what to make the support for the mag out of, maybe do the same thing, but have 2 so you form an upside down L?
i had this blowgun that was super accurate, and left welts if fired too harshly. i think it was a bit too large of a pvc pipe, because sometimes air would just go out of it with the dart falling out.
A party popper gun could work as a cylinder if you make a nerf revolver! Saw a video where someone made a really nice revolver out of a party popper, pvc pipe, some glue, and a piece of scrap wood (carved it into a handle)
the homemade nerf crossbow is so awesome i love how you can use the close pin thing to easily shoot the nerf dart instead of manually pulling and realeasing i think thats awesome
I made 4 versions of the crossbow now I have probably the best one yet it’s called the popsicle stick. I made a handle out a popsicle stick and a grip. It has a catch to well catch the rubber band it’s made out of zip ties. I also put barbecue sticks in the front bow arms and glue the ends together. Then, I put popsicle stick on the clothespin.
You could replace the pieces of paper in the crossbow with stronger pvc pipe, and then use cardboard binder (you can get this from your nearby Tesco’s, Asda’s, or Walmart if you live in america for around £1-2 ($1-3))
How I make a nerf gun: Get a PVC pipe with a lid at the bottom, stick an explosive charge at the bottom, dump handfuls of darts into the pipe. Light the charge.
I think what they tried going for was to have a shell around the “ blaster with the card board, Basically just the water bottle a pipe but with the nozzle, probably still wouldn’t work
I made the crossbow and it worked pretty good! It has some range on it and the darts fly in an arch. I also added a little grip beneath the clothespin as a grip for my hand but overall it worked pretty good!
I think the way the blaster would work is to pull the nozzle trigger over and over which releases air into the PVC and once the air pressure is strong enough to where there’s too much air in the pvc, the dart will pop out, (essentially a champagne bottle)
You can find a type of pipe that's about the size of the hole in a nerf dart (I don't have a dart or the pipe on hand to check), but their are s few issues, 1. That type of pipe is called a supply line not a pipe, 2. I's not exactly a household item as they're often replaced with a type of stainless steel tubing, and 3. They aren't PVC and are actually very flexible and not rigid. Another thing is that there are actually two kinds of pipe called "PVC". There's actual PVC pipe, which is white in color, and CPVC pipe which is slightly yellowish in color. They are functionally identical, however CPVC is slightly smaller than PVC, but are listed as the same size (IE a 1/2' PVC pipe would be slightly larger than a 1/2" CPVC pipe). My guess is they where talking about CPVC pipe in the article, which might be just small enough that the dart gets a better seal. Maybe.
There's this awesome channel I used to watch called "Tubalatudo", it's all in portuguese, but he does some amazing paper guns using the same idea of rolled sheets of paper, definitely worth checking if you have some time, I was never able to build one of those, but I was like 10 or something
I do have to say, I'd love to see the naysayers on your original video make the thing themselves and show us how well it works with videos of their own. Awesome video, Bret!
Those push tube water guns? Attach PVC and instead of bottle, it uses a push mechanism, and it uses a vacuum system to inflate, might be a bit long tho
I’d love to make an afternoon project out of making one of those crossbows with three pieces of pvc instead of paper. Use two for the dart track and bend one with a heat gun into bow arms, then connect many rubber bands. Maybe even paint it to look like wood? Could be cool!
You are never to old to play with nerf, LEGO, and hot wheels
I made a nerf gun with Lego by accident, all you need is ruberbads and Lego, make it your self
You are not wrong.
Tnx i was thinking i was a little to old
Maybe not hot wheels but Lego and nerf you are never too old
Only when you are 99 you can’t play LEGO lol
Brett: making the crossbow knowing he will have to run it in a war now, deludes himself "its not that bad"

Another nerf gun thats easy
1: work until you get 5 dollars.
2: ask mum to take you to walmart.
3: Buy A Jolt

The first one, not only could you use it as a club. You could use it as an under-barrel shotgun!
I'm going to have to take this and expand on it even more. I want a full size version!
I made one of these bows, i wrote "nerf paperstrike" on each side, made a sling mount and a hop up out of more paper and hot glue

stringers are underrated; I cant explain it but my crossbolt has always somehow been the most accurate of my blasters
