    I normally hate instructional videos with no voice instruction but, you nailed it. I put it in 1/2 speed for the critical parts and it worked very well. Thank you for your time. Consider doing a voice over for extra instructions and watch for flying springs kids!!

      @9mm1968. LOL! Thank you! Go to th-cam.com/users/CZFanGrrl and you can fill your boots on my blah-blah-blah with my older gunsmithing videos (I have lots more over there). You might come right back here,….or not.

      @jolufepi. Aww! Thanks for missing me! It’s been a very low key winter, no shooting, therefore not much gunsmithing, I’ve done all I can with mine. Shooting season is starting up again, so the content will be rolling again.

    Could you please explain the sear? I cannot understan what it does. Thanks for great content!

    • @CZFanGrrl
      @CZFanGrrl 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The sear holds the hammer back until the correct amount of pressure is applied to the trigger, at which point the hammer is released and the firearm discharges. The hammer has hooks that contact the sear. A well matched hammer and sear assembly is critical in a good trigger, if the hammer hooks are worn, the hammer might not fully contact the sear causing the hammer to fall to half cock position when the slide is racked (see my 85C video for an example of that) or the gun might go into full auto when the trigger is pulled. The sear also engages with the safety node and if that connection is poorly matched, then the safety will not apply when it needs to. Hope this helps explain!

    What’s holding the magazine brake in the bottom?

    • @czfangrrlguns
      @czfangrrlguns  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Glenn D. The magazine brake (stock) fits in a groove at the bottom near the main spring plug, which also puts some tension on the brake. Great question by the way. I use a Springer Precision Mag brake which is actually free floating at the bottom, held in place by the magazine brake roll pin at the top and by the pressure of the grips.
