A Gilty Obsession EP5 - The Hunt For A Gilthead Bream - I See A Big Gilt And Get A Bite !

In this video I return to a rock mark after fishing for spider crabs the day before . Whilst fishing for the crabs I had a shoal of Gilts follow my crab snare up to the surface so I return the next day to target them .
I see a large Gilt swimming round that goes down , a while later I start getting bites will it be the day ?

Hiya keiran, ive caught many gilts and im willing to give you some tips on catching them, if your interested i may come down to Cornwall at the end of june for a few days, would you be interested in a day out chasing the gilts, im staying in Marizion and plan on fish hayle but would travel north, if you fancy a day out drop me a line, cheers, Mark.

Hi ya mark that's really kind of you mate I'm fishing the hayle tomorrow for them with another guy that's offered to help me out I caught a couple last week in the helford be next video up. I've got the dreaded mot on my van 19th so assuming the bastard gets thorough I'd love to meet u poo u somewhere for a day out let me know if and when you are down mate.

Are you deliberately challenging yourself to catch a gilt in open sea? If not and just want to catch one you should be up one of the estuaries to give yourself a way way better. When I go after them I normally catch at least 1 or 2 a trip, but that is up the cornish and devon estuaries
