Excellent Toby. Well done Bud. Top soft plastic skills in clearwater and bright conditions. You're on on a streak now. I need to get back at it with a vengeance and this is just the motivation I need.
Outstanding video! Brilliant stuff. I'm bang opposite you on the Bristol Channel, (west a bit perhaps) it's been slow to start this year. Bloody summer hasn't turned up yet! Northerlys keeping the temp down. Fingers crossed it will improve soon. Thanks again for sharing.
Appreciate the kind words mate and glad you liked the video. Has definitely been a strange start this year, I caught three small ones on my first session back in the spring then didn't see another for over a month.
Thanks mate glad you enjoyed the video. Don't think I could imagine going Bass fishing without soft plastics nowadays, tbh they're such an important tool to have in your armary 👍
Thank you 👍 yes difficult conditions indeed, unfortunately I rarely get the chance to fish whenever I want with kids and family commitments, so i have to make the most of it when I can get out usually during school hours, I try to pinpoint the best places to be with regards to the tides during the time I have available .
Cheers mate appreciate the comment, the net is a Major Craft Hexxa net, with the 4m First Cast telescopic handle and the tilt kit. Some of it I was able to find on UK websites the net itself I had to order from Japan. Worth every penny for the places it allows me to fish, I even had an identical net to this one before but I accidentally left it behind while fishing one day and never saw it again. I liked the net that much that I went to the effort of buying another one (this one)
yeah--great stuff- i enjoyed it much... thats the way to got : blank, but not stop trying -- like seatrout fishing out here... Oh- you go pretty hard on the fish, fightin-- i thought you ll keep it then, but catch n release is better of course 4 stock- big up 4 that too. i am inspired to get to the island of sylt, northern germany,Border to Danmark- the place where i lost two already-- never caught one(seabass). i hope i get one, or even more this time ( i am trying also not gettin too greedy-- but the first is for eating) . we have sand coastline there-- its not easy, but no snags at least there ( i hope so - friend got snagged on a BIRD, and me on a SEAL, in 6m deep water on mackerel feathers ..it got off luckily... oh man- so many there-- can t always look out 4 them ! ) tight lines from germany
Thank you for such a lovely comment my friend 😊 I wish you the best of luck with your own Seabass adventures, I'm also intrigued to hear about the Bass from your part of the world. Incredible fish, and all the different types of venue and environments we can persue her in is such a blessing for us angler's
I sometimes order mine from Japan or more usually from the Hookup Tackle USA and just take the expensive import charges on the chin if that's what I have to do.
Nice to see the animals treated with respect on capture and release. Good on you sir.
