Beautiful..but can't belive people need to wear a mask if they are walking alone in the nature. Nature and fresh air is healthy and the best for your immune system
Great video. Loved the nature side too. Yes remember the hole in the ground by the tower. Was it a catapult or did they use some kind of explosive to fire missiles?. Not sure on that one. But I love the rugged landscape there. Really is stunning. Hurry with next walk for us all.🚶🚶

A great video Steve. I will have to go to Pembroke on my next visit to Malta to see all these old British barracks and the old clock tower of the guard house. I really enjoyed you walking the nature trail and seeing a different part of Malta.
Oh wow Steve sweety how did I miss this wonderful video with so much history and interesting places love all the architecture around the English barracks ,I have never been to Pembroke but new of it , I lived at Madliena heights it was so different to now, much less built on ... a very lovely lady ❤who lived in a farmhouse use to bring me fresh melons for breakfast and fresh rabbits. things were so different then ,your hair is fine you,re lovely as you are dont change anything ,your sence of humour awesome and your history knowledge amazing that's why we all love watching your fantastic video thank you Steve Sweety stay safe take care and always happy xxxx ❤😅⚘💜❣⚘💛🤗
Another great interesting video Steve , enjoyed the walk with you , can't wait to get back and do some exploring . Some fantastic places you've shown . Great job Steve 👍
Brilliant walk. Great to see the paths are kept so that people can walk safely along from Pembroke to Madalena (and beyond, I guess). Know the Pembroke area well from days 60 years ago when a mate of mine went to St.Andrews Army school.....I was at R.N school, Verdala.
Hi Steve, We've done this walk a few times. We usually catch the bus from Bugibba and get off either in Sliema or St Julian's... depends how fit we feel 😂. Then we walk right on to the splash park! Catch the bus back to Bugibba from there... usually ready for a sit down 😂 Lovely walk thanks for sharing 👍
great video steve, the picture quality is amazing, what a fantastic tower and barracks at the beginning of the video, think you need a bullet proof vest for next time walking on that shooting range lol but what amazing views steve, thanks for sharing m8
Hi Steve. A bit behind at present due to internet issues but this walk was well worth my impatient waiting. Nice that there's a good path all the way through and another to add to my ever-expanding list.
Hi Steve, great walk and new to me :) it seems like buildings are going up everywhere but it's good to see there is still a bit of mature around. cheers
It knows to be the barracks for the English it's the biggest in malta and the Maltese army should of took it over instead of most of it has been lost I knows to work in the cinema over there witch is Australia House that's been left in ruins unfortunately thanks for sharing ste

Lovely video, hope u ducked when the shooting started, I did, lol. Them barracks are so nice, the British had a nice base in Malta, was nice to see them Maltese military coming towards you as u were in the right place, that catapult must of sorted a few out, u do a lot of walking, u could do with a bicycle down some of them long lanes, thanks for showing us along them nature walks.
In those thick stone-walled buildings you didn't need energy-hungry air conditioning, as you do in the ugly steel and glass junk buildings defacing so much of Malta and the world today. Another great video, Steve. Thank you.
It would be nice if you made another video about Pembroke along with a person who is well versed in the history of the Brits in Malta. The young Maltese generation has little knowledge about these areas so, if you walked around asking questions about the building and what happened and when it would be of great interest. Thanks.
Yes I agree , I have places that i have visited that this also would be nice, but it is always so hard to find people like this to come on camera and talk about history , saying that there is also a place for videos with a light hearted theme and not to heavy on facts, , this video was mostly about the nature walk and also touch a little on the history
Maltese people love history. I have a Facebook page called Malta-Through the ages and people are very interested in our history. The British rule is so much part of our heritage. Anyways, I've posted your video on this page.
Morning Steve nice day I thought it said the were going to build anew hotel across there perhaps not now haircut for you short back and polish all the best classic trucker 😎
Fougasse (weapon) A fougasse /fuːˈɡɑːs/ is an improvised mortar constructed by making a hollow in the ground or rock and filling it with explosives (originally, black powder) and projectiles. The fougasse was used by Samuel Zimmermann at Augsburg[2] in the sixteenth century, referred to by Vauban in the seventeenth century, and well known to military engineers by the mid-eighteenth century. This technique was used in several European wars, the American Revolution, and the American Civil War. The term is still used to describe such devices.
Actually in Malta we call it 'Reverse Osmosis' which describes the physical process of removing salt from sea water using reverse osmosis a process where pressure is applied to a highly concentrated solute solution (in this case, the salt water) to pass through a membrane to a lower concentrated solution.
Man ive got to say, Maltese tempretures have gotten lower than last year, when its rains there would always be a lot of ice, and its also much colder out I think this is going to be the coldest year
The British possessed a big area there. I’ve never been. I guess Maltese people were not allowed in Pembroke. It’s a pity the Maltese government doesn’t develop it.
Ha ha ha.......just to be boring Steve, the majority of the rock formations are made up of `Lower Globigerina`, a porous rock that dissolves easily due to the acid rain. Oh......as an afterthought why didn`t they call the place Henry (the family name ) ?
