    My husband (RIP) lived in Valletta in the late ‘70’s and early’80’s as a teen and he and his brothers would use pen knives and whatever they could find, to dig bullets out of the sides of the ruins. He has lots of slugs, but was too young to appreciate his finds and never kept them. Back then, he was able to roam everywhere, including in the ‘catacombs’...! What adventures he must have had!

    You know, Michelle, you can gather from everyone following and loving you, what suitable soundtrack or classical piece or spaced out or world music would best accompany your presentations. I have house music, myself. :P Enjoying your work! I'm a mud vet myself. Old Montreal is stock full of buildings with windows half ground level, half below. The museum hosting an "original settler's home" sits 9 feet below ground. Cheers dear!

    I grew up working concrete drilling and sawing and those tiny holes above all the cuts for all the wondows, entrances, cables, etc. serve to insert anchors to hold the drill or saw. Meaning they were using the same methodology back then but using stone bits (like the one he held up) before the invention of steel bits. This would be more like a punch drill technology so the question is, what was powering it?

  • @susanjaeger5645
    @susanjaeger5645 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's like they just sliced off part of the building and used what ever blocks or bricks that fit to fill in the holes. Some of those square holes were where beams sat. Looked like some had petrified remains of the wood beams still left in them. I think the small round holes held rebar that long ago rusted away.
    Excellent video.
