Who's seen Amsterdam this empty? What an amazing trip. Any restaurants you liked?
I can't wait for people to point out how bad my accent is. My absolute favorite part of publishing content is the haters....
i really enjoyed dinner at nomad. High quality food at a good price.
Last time i was in amsterdam was a month ago, it was packed with people and tourists, Going again tonight, hopefully there are less people as last time i went on a friday
@@seanpfinelli2820 I’m
it's not empty lol??
Sean it was great to have you guys with us, love the video and great to see you enjoyed the chef’s menu, the food & love experience, view and relaxing atmosphere.
We will definitely meet up again on your next visit to Amsterdam!
I loved this town so much I will probably move there at one point
Just some tips for when you are on a budget but still want to eat something special. We have amazing Surninam food, another former colony. I love the "Ah Lung" (Yes there were also Chinese migrants in Surinam) Restaurant near the Albert Cuyp market, there are many good Surinam restaurants but chose to mention this one because its right next to the market in the video. Classic dish from Surinam is the Roti Kip (Chicken). This is a Hindustani dish (yes those were in Surinam too) with a large pancake, chicken , beans and potato in a delicous light curry sauce. This only costs 7,60 and its a huge meal. Many restaurants serve this and its almost always around this pricepoint. You have it with other meats too like Roti Lamb for example.
Other cheap food is of course the Doner Kebab or Turkish pizza. There are many Turkish people in the city and of course they brought their food with them. A doner sandwich should cost about 4 euros and a Turkish pizza around 2. "Leeman Doner" in the Van Woustraat is a good one. They will fill you up real good for just a couple of euro's.
Also dont forget the plain old supermarket. Want some of that great Dutch cheese? Sure, so do we, but we get it like normal people in the supermarket, like "Albert Heijn". Almost all supermarkets have a great variety from mild young cheese to flaverful old Gouda. And of course alot cheaper (and probably better quality) than a tourist shop.
For Surinames food and Kebab it's best to go to the Dappermarkt in Amsterdam oost. When you're there it's also only a short walk to brewery 't ij.
But i'm Dutch so I just avoid the tourist centre of Amsterdam like the plague.
Flavourful ! Spelling nazi strikes again
Great advice! Can’t wait to visit!
guys the editing was so cool, good job Alvin!
I’ve been to Europe twice and both times I’ve visited Amsterdam. My third time I’ll most definitely check these places out🤙🏼 entertaining content!
What a great city! Lovely and cozy.
Nice place 😍
Two days in Amsterdam can generate enough memories for two lifetimes. I was stationed two hours away and went every other weekend and kept finding news things. Just gotta make friends with the locals!
Thanks so much. Yes, two day is just the beginning
Stationed in Camp New Amsterdam (that was closed years ago) or Volkel (in Uden)?
🌷
80% of the locals live outside the city, because hardly anybody can afford to live in the city
Wow!! I definitely want to do the boat tour, looks amazing
Looks fun over there!
This fun video will make you desperately want to visit Amsterdam. And if you've enjoyed this beautiful city before, you will want to jump back on a plane immediately.
First week of Oct I cannot wait!
Enjoy! Which tours are you doing?!
That herring looked so good 😂
That place looks awesome
Looks like a blast!
IThis is one of the best destinations you can find however the summer months are too crowded and very expensive. Christmas is cool and cheap.
Great overview of Amsterdam. I haven't visited Amsterdam since 1990. Looks like things have changed. Thank you for sharing and posting all the information that I will definitely use when I go there next year.
what has changed?
Glad you enjoyed it
Amsterdam is a Beautiful City !
You guys are so amazing and its one of the best Amsterdam video.... fun watching it
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is an amazing video. Thanks for creating it

Thank you! Will do!
Love Love Amsterdam!!! 😇🙏💞♥️💞
I love you guys! I found you all by happenstance and now I’m watching all the videos!

This is a brilliant report well done, subscribed
Thanks so much
What an amazing time! Can't wait to go back!
Thanks , I truly enjoyed everything as if I was with you guys there.
Much appreciated 🙌🏽
Fantastico!!! Bravissimii
Great video. Amsterdam is a city easy to fall in love with... Thanks for the video, Sean :)
Thank you for watching
Last time I've been there was 1979!!! I think lot of things has changed since then 😢
well edited video, thanks.
Wow very nice editing 👌
Did this trip in 1998 with my friends. Similar ages to you.
Funnily enough, it would never even enter our heads to take photos to share, never mind broadcast it to the world, for potential profit.
It was real, it was wild, it was never to be forgotten.
Personal memories of times with REAL friends = REAL experiences.
I weep for this generation.
How much time do you spend in an office each week?
@@TheTourGuyVids Quite the assumption. Wrong as it is, it would at least be real.
Funny and awesome video! Good job! 👍
Thanks so much 🙏🏼
Need to go back to Amsterdam now!
As of today, Sunday the 19th of December 2021, Holland is in a total lockdown for at least a month. Everything is closed, also during daytime. My estimation is that nothing will be open until the end of February. It’s 2020 all over again
GREAT video!
Looked good trying to hop that wall Sean!
great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
awesome video thanks for sharing safe travels
Thanks for watching!
Amsterdam looks amazing!
Cant wait to party on a boat 🙌🏻
Awesome! Can't wait to go back to Amsterdam!
Top quality content guys! Super informative and greatly done. How drunk were you after the end of day one ?
We were not sober
It's so amazing place to visit 😍
Completely agree
Thank you for love my comment
Great Video
Hi there Great video thanks! What is the name of the brewery at De Pijp that is run by siblings?
Wow, great video, where is it at 10.31 the turning mills?
Great and Nice video...
What was the name of the brewery (that you said was run by a brother and sister)? It doesn’t seem to show up on your list of stops
I wont even say it’s name it’s so amazing 🤓
Amsterdam's culinary food culture reminds me of Toronto's....innovative and eclectic.
Completely agree. Thanks for the comment
Your r the best 👍🏻
Thank you!
What's that song with the guitar melody up front? I've heard it elsewhere and I gotta know.
Nice video, born and raised in Amsterdam and still live here. Just 1 question, why do you show the windmils of Zaanse Schans (they are in Zaandijk, about 20 minutes drive) and the harbour of Volendam (about 30 minutes drive) ? Amsterdam has it's own windmills and a huge harbour :) For the rest I enjoyed your video, thanks for sharing :)
Haha.. keen eye! Some stock footage we used, but we should have been more precise!
where are Amsterdam windmills located?
There’s one above Brouwerij T’ij.
For a complete list google molen Amsterdam
@@huckster7294 uhm duh I know, I am born and raised in Amsterdam :) yet in this video (about Amsterdam) they show the windmils of Zaandijk, Zaandijk is about 15 kilometer north of Amsterdam... And Volendam isn't part of Amsterdam too...
Better than Fish n Chips, that's fighting talk.
💪🏼😂🤣
Awesome
When, O when!
Made my way to Amsterdam last Summer!!!!
Did i hear book tour?!?!?!? i'm in !!
What was the name of the brother and sister bar?
I don't think we have to go to Amsterdam to experience Wynand Fockink, am i right?
Cool video guys, thank you! 🙆
😂😂😂😂
Best city in the world ❌❌❌
Wow, an Amsterdam tour lacking red lights and weed! Much appreciated for us GenX family travelers.
thanks!
Well, Amsterdam is one of my favourite cities in the World because it is such a great city to live in, but, also, because it is such a great city of culture (I mean, the monuments built in the 17th, and 18th centuries, in particular, are nothing less than remarkable; in addition to that, as it was, kinda, pointed-out in this video, Amsterdam is home to some of the museums that have become renowned around the World/are of International Prestige, like Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum, Rembrandt Museum, and/or Museum Van Gogh)!
Ha.. Come on, they didn't add it to the video, probably all have wives at home 😂 😂 😂
I'm planning a trip in spring, did you not stay in any hotels?
thetourguy.com/travel-blog/netherlands/amsterdam/where-to-stay-in-amsterdam-this-year/
is the cost of the food tour includes the cost of the food eaten on said tour?
Yes food is included.
Saw my office on Remblantplein then
Nice 👍🏼
great video, but could you mention the prices next time?
Good point. Thanks.
Are all these places requiring that covid passport thing? Il be there next week and its been soo complicated setting it up if youre not from holland
We weren’t asked for vax card or test results anywhere other than the airport. That said, might was well buy a case for them and take em for the ride.
@@TheTourGuyVids and this was recent??
Mid-august 2021
Right now, is mandatory to have green passport.
@@bogdanpopa2704 cool man. Currently sitting in my third bar restaurant of the night no mask no problem and no passport bullshit. Screw China
Where can I get some cbd flower in Amsterdam?
Don’t know that sorry!
You guys really love your tourists traps don’t you?
We didn't feel trapped at all and had a great time. Do you have suggestions?
from dutch man pritty good video 🫡
Appreciate it
Haring is not raw! It's been ... 'gekaakt' which is a process of fermentation in brine and the enzymes from the fish's pancreas, which is not removed until you buy it at the street stall. Not raw.
Well yeah by technical standards it's not completely raw.because it's been soused. But by most standards, it's pretty raw! And it's commonly referred to as raw herring.
"explored" Indonesia? Really??? That was a full invasion that brought down multiple separate dynasties. That lasted 250 years? I am confused by that conversation.
Beautiful city but seems a bit expensive.
Yes, true
I think it's all a little bit expansive respect italy
It was not much more expensive tbh.
And they don’t tip there either
Wow you dont wear a mask on the street at all now?
We posted this video last year abs filmed it last summer
🐾
I love going for a walk with my girl in Amsterdam when it's sunny and everyone is out. Not lately since they have the covid BS pass thing going on though. Fuck that shit.
Where is the ganja?
Not here
@@TheTourGuyVids Was it off camera?
@@HuseyinAtaiEsengol nope. Not that kind of show
@@TheTourGuyVids I know thats not the show, Im asking if you had a roll in the grass when the cameras were not looking?
@@HuseyinAtaiEsengol Nah man. We work 10-12 hour days on these shoots.
You obviously didn't have a budget to stick to!!!
Every film crew and production company has a budget. We featured a variety of activities, restaurants and cafes for a variety of different budgets. Happy Travels!
Lol, the LOST sound in the intro. 🤣
Also, prostitution is older than the city....
Thanks
How much you can see depends on how much you smoke
man likes eating
Who doesn’t?
@@TheTourGuyVids Eating exciting food when traveling is the best. You had some good places that I will check out when I'm going on Monday.
@@9arold9 completely agree. Happy travels in Amsterdam. Let us know what you think of some of our recommendations
Amsterdam sans coffe shop c'est paris sans la Lgbt
What do you mean by this?
you are overdoing it with the montage . slow down . give us the chance and the time to understand and appreciate what we see. you just left me confused . keep it simple . you are ruining your hard work with extra hard work .
Sorry about that. Check out our new video: th-cam.com/video/5kwCu7ELc5k/w-d-xo.html
See St Andrew Flag of Scotland
Where’s the weed
Top Jaw are the guys to do this I'm sorry but you just don't have it Genevieve Antwerp
Don’t be mad that we didn’t cover Antwerp.
Definitely not eating on the cheap. But if you have the money, I guess you eat better.
We are interested in good food. Sometimes it costs more than other times. That’s life
The people in amsterdam are only that friendly because you hold that camera in the hand. In reality it is not like that. Sad.
Everyone was nice even when we didn't have cameras out.
Huh ?
ABSOLUYELY not my experience either !
(But than, I'm Dutch.
does that count?)
@@r.i.p.theovangogh1848 Dutch people are super cool and fun. We had a blast everywhere we went. There are definitely counties out there with less than friendly people, but Holland is not one of them!
Huh?
"2 Days in Amsterdam"… is exactly the problem with modern tourism.
Are you assuming we just stayed 2 days? This is just the first of many days!
You got scammed mate
How so?
