My shabby chic version of a ‘just because book ‘ inspired by Susan Taylor Brown. She has started me off on this journey of discovery using fabrics, textures and slow stitching and it’s been a real pleasure to make my first little book.

That little just because book is adorable! I am a visual learner too! I've learned a number of crochet stitches just watching YT videos. Your daisy stitches are perfect!

Not sure if you will get to see this as you posted over a year ago, but I wanted to tell you I just subscribed to your channel. I love the tiny books you make, your care free style and ideas. I have so many are stamps and I was wondering what to do next ... I had forgotten about stamping on fabric as I hadn't done that in over twenty years, and I hadn't seen on the print but painted it, now I have new ideas for sewing and embroidery, so I decided to subscribe, thank you for your channel.

That looks like the lazy daisy stitch. I thought I might try doing all the State Flowers of the U.S.A. in a journal. Wish me luck.

Thank you 😊Yes I put the book and pages together first , then stitched onto the pages! The cover is a wraparound. I haven’t got a video on this one but I have done several mini books and will leave links to the construction under the video 💖
