Oh Janet, how fine!! That chenille needle is a gem, isn't it? Love your big leather chair and your tree trunk table, so cozy! If we didn't know we would think you were on vacation in a mountain cabin in Montana. Your journal is splendid with pages of denim, wool and such an artistic cover. It's so beautiful to see your mistletoe hanging from the trees. The American mistletoe gets beautiful little clusters of white berries on it.

Oh janet, you've inspired me to make a slow st. Journal. I'm a beginner but I remember a few fancy stitches I did years ago. Refresh my memory on YT. This is my next project, I've got some gorgeous blue and green patchwork fabric I love that I'm gonna use. Watching your playlist. Beautiful videos, and so relaxing. I'm feeling a little anxious lately, so some slow stitching will be perfect for me.❤😊 PS. I want a gorgeous craftroom just like yours filled with treasures, no space at minute as grown up kids still living at home, one day!! I did some hearts a while back too. Mushrooms next. Hello Janet, thank you for sharing your fabric journal. Its just lovely and i enjoyed watching you stitch on it. I have never made a fabric journal, but will put that on my crafting bucket list for sure.
I do love hearing the clock chiming in the background. I love clocks and have one on my manyle that chimes every 15 minutes. I have always found the ticking of a clock to be soothing. Would love to have a few more around my house. Would be a time symphony. 😂

I was brought up with mechanical and chiming clocks in every room ! at one stage my Grandmother had a Grandfather clock. Carried home by my Grandfather over many miles as payment for a job. I have found lovely homes for all the clocks and kept little Colin the Cuckoo clock to keep us all company.

Hi Janet, i love this slow stitching journal. I've been making your other journal with 3 envelopes! I have 2 envelopes & one little sack that I get at the pharmacy. They're little & cute. It's been fun making it. I want this one nexy. I also made a bird, cat & angel. They're so cute! Also Flo is darling, she did a great job on her journal. Freddy is so cute! I love your slow stitch journal Janet. I can't see well enough to be able to thread the needle anymore but I sure do love to watch as you do it. I would have probably cut the blue jeans from the top and put a pocket on the opposite page or make a flower or heart from the material

Hi Janet really enjoyed the video you got some lovely things for next years journal it was a joy to watch. It looks quite cold in England and of course opposite here in west oz.. you are not going to believe this but we have made a a padded journal for our new Fairy journal ❤😂 isn't that amazing we neither of us knew we were making a similar cover ours is covered with fabric 😂😂😂❤ too. But we only do journals on Tuesdays so next week we will finish it before we sèw in our pages love to you Freddie and Flo ❤

If your bag eventually becomes a bit tight from your growing journal, it might help to line the bag with a little slippery lining. 😀
Eileen oh thank you what a great idea, it does get caught on the hessian, I love how we all inspire one another. The boys had a machine knitted Christmas stocking and I had to line that ! I used an old pair of pyjama legs !

Love this Janet, watched it twice already 😊. Watching your other slow stitch journal with the owl tutorial on and I love how you have some much in there and layered up. That's what I cant get my head round, how do you add all the goodies in and how do you not see the stitches from the previous pages

Sometimes if the stitches go through to the other page it just adds to the texture. If not you can create a little picture on fabric and stitch it onto and round the edge of the page. Is this clear as mud ? Do hope you have fun creating. So ask any questions any time 🧚🏼🧵

I used similar yarn we call it double knitting and a 4mm hook, it’s nice and chunky for Flo 🧚🏼

Janet, how would you put paper pages in a cloth covered journal?
Hi Evie, I sew them just the same, ( some people use the 3 hole pamphlet stitch) recently I have just used any stitch. The other thing I have done is fold the ends over to make pockets for the journal cover to slide into like a book cover ? ( think I have a video for that ) ask anymore questions if you have any 🩵
