So If you are like me and love to slow stitch then you have made a lot of embroidered squares and you love them … now what do you do with them ?
I have found the easiest way to stitch your fabric embroidered squares together, to keep neatly together and I love that it is a concertina style something a bit different, instead of a book.
We will also be practising our embroidery stitches all throughout this series, I would love to learn new stitches and also could use the practice I just thought I'd bring you along and we have a bit of a giggle together while I do this.
Please enjoy ☺️

Love your squares and little book.
Thank you very much ❤️
I am going to pluck up courage and have a go🎉🎉
That’s fantastic I’m glad you are inspired to try, remember it’s only bits of fabric 😁
Hello my friend! So glad you could use some fabric I sent :) I enjoyed crafting along with you. Wish we could do that in person!!! Tea, crafts and Snowbell!!!
Wouldn’t that be so fun 😂 apart from snowbell walking all over our projects lol, yes I’m still using the lovely fabrics you sent me ❤
New to your channel, new to slow stitching. Your book looks wonderful. I would love to give this a go! Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Best wishes, Geraldine
Thank you! welcome along 😊 Just in case you wonder where all the slow stitching videos have gone recently ! I have started a new channel dedicated to my love for slow stitching, it’s Hand Stitch with Carol and we do all sorts of relaxed stitching projects 💗
These little books are just darling!
Thank you Rhonda ❤
Oh Carol. This looks like so much fun. You had me at ….a flower on every page. 💖🌸💖
Hi Deb, I’m looking forward to making a new one and hoping I can learn some stitches to embellish the flowers p, should be a giggle or two. 💖
Good evening Carol, what a sweet beautiful fabric, I love 💘 the lady with the hat on the front cover , it s... me all ways wearing a hat . Thank you for sharing with us , have a peaceful weekend, soft warm hugs Teresa xx
Thank you so much Teresa 😊 I love that lady with the hat on she’s so cool ! Hope you enjoy your weekend too ❤
I love your style and your attitude. I am fairly new to embroidery, but have learned about 6 stitches so far (from the Sarah Homfray Embroidery channel - she has a wonderful stitch library.) I was searching for a channel that would teach me more about slow stitching in general and ..... in particular..... how to put my individual pieces together.... mainly in an accordian style. And I see by roaming around your channel very briefly this morning, that you have shown several methods of doing that. This is going to be fun. Thank you. I have just subscribed. Now I shall go back and watch a lot of your previous videos so that I can catch up 🙂
Hello Susan 😊 Thank you so much for saying hi and welcome to my little corner of TH-cam !
I am a big fan of Sarah Homfray she’s a fabulous teacher and is very experienced. I started stitching beginning of last year when I did Roxy’s journal of stitchery, Rachel and her sister are great to watch too !
I’m very much on a learning curve and just videoing my experiments in stitching, I make mistakes and not perfect at it all 😂
I have a playlist with all my slow stitching projects if that helps 😁
@@RecraftedByCarol Thanks Carol. This is exactly what I was looking for...... making individual slow stitch pieces and then putting them together as a concertina on a piece of fabric. I have seen slow stitch pieces that used various things as the base for the individual pieces: cotton fabric, cotton wadding/batting and felt. I think that I'll give all three a try and see which I like best. Thanks for the inspiration !!!
@@SusanMJB45 you are very welcome I’m glad I can offer inspiration 😊
Thanks!
Thank YOU again, I really appreciate it 😁 💃
New to your channel this morning and already I love it - you have a brilliant detailed teaching style and are very listenable to. And this book - absolutely gorgeous and they’d be a lovely thing to take on a journey with a small child, with lots of textures and surprises to capture their imagination - just beautiful, also it would be a lovely way to save little pieces of fabric that have a particular meaning for you. Beautiful.😊
Hi and welcome Allie so happy to have you here. Thank you for your lovely comments 😊 I’m glad you got some inspiration from my video and yes how wonderful to make a book from memorable pieces of fabric.

Hi Carol! This is great and I have been creating with a bit of slow stitching myself…I will have to make one when I’m back in my craft space at home. Love your little book🥰🌸
Thank you, I hope you make one. I’m so pleased with how my book turned out ❤
This is very beautiful! Is there a video that shows how to put it together onto the concertina style fabric?
Thank you , yes I will link in the description box beneath video for you 🩷
I am loving this project Carol. I wish I could participate with you, but I’m not able to right now. I agree that a 4”x5” journal is the perfect size. I look forward to watching you work on it! 💕💕💕
It’s great to know you’ll be watching 😊 just can’t join in everything ❤
Where is the next tutorials for this book? I want to learn how to make the whole thing. I can’t find it in your playlist. Please help
If you look in the description box beneath the video the next video is linked ther, it should pop up at the end of the video but TH-cam has its moments ☺️
I want to join in❤❤
Hi Sheila please just stitch along, I have some meditation stitching videos in my slow stitching playlist which you can listen to while you stitch ! At the moment we are just making our blocks and will be stitching them together in a few weeks 😊 ❤
Did you use wadding when you out it together?
No i didn’t, I collaged on top of upholstery type fabric and then stitched them down on a length of cotton I used for the base. 😊
I’ll demonstrate in the next video for you ❤
