@@frogbysachs7559 not op but I got a similar gender situation going on: it essentially boils down to ‘sometimes you don’t identify with either binary gender but you’re attracted to just one’; there isn’t really a vocabulary for that yet, but for me it’s about relating more to the way gay people talk about attraction than straight people, and wanting to align myself with gay communities. Sometimes it’s ‘cause people assume you’re gay without considering your gender and you roll with it. Sometimes it’s just for fun. It DEFINITELY isn’t just about assigned gender at birth, you can be agender and gay for Any gender regardless of that. Hope that helps some!

I've noticed a trend in British TV/films over the past few years that there's usually some kinda LGBT representation, Either a main character or just a minor character. What's great is it's never over exaggerated or made out to be a big deal, its just normalised and its really nice.

But there's too many exemples when it just feels like they checked the boxes without any second thoughts. At best it's distracting and boring, at worst it's honestly quite offensive (the tackled romantic interest that is seemingly there only to 'reassure" the heterosexual audience. so a few days ago i was playing a game for school (not like a fun game, just a game that your supposed to do for school) anyway, in the game your supposed to vote for someone to be a mayor for a made up town. when i was playing the game i saw that every time this one person was mentioned, everyone was using they/them pronouns! i looked to see if that was only for this character or if they did that to all the characters, and i found that all others used she/her and he/him, so i was really happy to find a non binary character in a game! (also since i'm nonbinary)

hi there, i want to preface this question by saying that i am not a cishet, i am a gender questioning aroace. i could you tell me how you can be agender and gay at the same time? by which i mean if you don't have a gender are you only attracted to other agenders, or do you go by assigned at birth sex to label yourself gay? no hate, i understand one is sexual orientation and one is gender (or lack thereof) orientation and i know they are different and not mutually exclusive but i want to know what that means to you anyway thanks so much and please don't be offended by my naivety
@@frogbysachs7559 not op but I got a similar gender situation going on: it essentially boils down to ‘sometimes you don’t identify with either binary gender but you’re attracted to just one’; there isn’t really a vocabulary for that yet, but for me it’s about relating more to the way gay people talk about attraction than straight people, and wanting to align myself with gay communities. Sometimes it’s ‘cause people assume you’re gay without considering your gender and you roll with it. Sometimes it’s just for fun. It DEFINITELY isn’t just about assigned gender at birth, you can be agender and gay for Any gender regardless of that. Hope that helps some!

I've noticed a trend in British TV/films over the past few years that there's usually some kinda LGBT representation, Either a main character or just a minor character. What's great is it's never over exaggerated or made out to be a big deal, its just normalised and its really nice.

But there's too many exemples when it just feels like they checked the boxes without any second thoughts.
At best it's distracting and boring, at worst it's honestly quite offensive (the tackled romantic interest that is seemingly there only to 'reassure" the heterosexual audience.

when i was playing the game i saw that every time this one person was mentioned, everyone was using they/them pronouns! i looked to see if that was only for this character or if they did that to all the characters, and i found that all others used she/her and he/him, so i was really happy to find a non binary character in a game! (also since i'm nonbinary)

@@Piti_Pingu not a proper lockdown, just a curfew and big events will be forbidden. Mandatory masks (as usual) and social distancing with huge fines. It's a preventive move to avoid the situation to be as bad as in some other European countries nearby

Hi Jamie, I don't know if you'll see this but I just wanted to thanks to you (and Shaba!) for these chilled, funny videos. I'm non-binary, recently came out to my family who have chosen to ignore me and pretend the conversation never happened. It's left me feeling pretty stressed out and lonely, especially now we're in a second lockdown and these videos are wonderful for me. It's like I get to just hang out with LGBT+ buddies and laugh about gay stuff whenever I like! It might only feel small but you're making a really positive impact on my wellbeing, so thank you both. Lol that "one straight friend" is basically me. I never needed to come out but my friend group is so LGBT that my one friend described me as the "token straight" of the group and honestly I'm down lmao
