    Nice Rig! I had the same hum in my system. When my stereo Tech came to set up my ES-A6-ME streamer DAC|Pre-Amp, he told me my XLR cables were my problem with the hum! I started researching! I ordered all new Top of the😊😮 23:36 23:36 23:36 23:3 XLR Cables, and my hum went away! I am so happy! My system is so clean! 23:36

    You are definitely going in the right direction to get the most out of these speakers 👌
    The Rose RS130 is a great choice & power is indeed very important at this level.
    The Puritan PM156 would be another great option to the Audioquest Niagra.
    Always connect your best power cable between the wall outlet & your power filter of choice IMO.
    Happy listening 🎶

    You know, in this hobby of ours , there's nothing like endgame, trust me , upgradetitis sets in quickly and there is no cure. So plz stop saying endgame and accept your faith.😂

      Maaaan you say it right. I spend 260k for my system and said "This is it" ....
      It was 4 years ago 😂 I do not count the complete price anymore but it is a lot more now.
      And yes, I know how much it is now... But it is way too much 🙈

    Hiss can also come from having input sensitivity set too high in your processor. There should be a setting to turn it to a negative setting to deal with hiss. Also if you are running separates, the amplifier also plays a part. 3 rd, speaker sensitivity (high) will make hiss more audible compared to other brands/models and you can’t change that without getting a quitter amplifier.

    • @TruTechnoGamer
      @TruTechnoGamer  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Good points. Needless to say, the power conditioner made a huge difference and removed any hiss I was hearing in my case

    YO KOOL!! Nice upgrade. I heard the Hifi Rose last year at the DC Audio fest in Rockville MD. That streamer is a beast! Enjoy.

    Yes, you certainly have some wonderful equipment but what's more impressive is how you're going about getting the best use of them. Bravo
    Sad to see these so-called audiophiles enthusiasts skipping up on quality cabling. In my experience, when building a multi-channel setup false economy cabling will become even more apparent. Maybe not at first but once the novelty wears off that's when ones attention is likely drawn to the sound of the room!
    When making the jump from 2 channel to multi-channel, I almost immediately became aware how the room sounded slightly different! Didn't know what it was at first. However, coming from an audio black background there was no way I was prepared to put up with it.
    Even after auditioning 3 separate AVR's, the same ambient sound of the room was still present! That told me the extremely faint background signal noise I had been experiencing (poor description!) had nothing to do with the actual units. Therefore, my attention changed to the cables. And even then It was only on the third occasion after I finally purchased shielded cables that the noise floor within my small room finally came down to satisfactory levels.
    Unshielded cables often act as antennas for attracting RF, and the longer the cable, the better the antenna. Probably explains why when I used to disconnect my heights and surrounds within 10 minutes, the faint background signal noise (RF/EMI) within my small room used to disappear/dissipate.
    Trying to achieve a totally silent room sadly has turned into a bit of an obsession for me. Doesn't help when ones 2-channel stereo also entails an extra 7 channels that are externally amplified (5.2.4)
    The more cables I shield, the quieter my room becomes, and the better the shielding, the more the chance the cables are likely to disappear.
    If one has the same sensitivities and is looking to address this matter, but is also hoping to notice (hear) the incremental differences, I would suggest addressing the analogue cables of length first before moving on to digital and power cables.
    When friends or guests come over, I used to show them how loud the system goes. Now I prefer to press mute and show them how my quiet it goes.
    None of them gets it, of course 😂

      Thanks for watching and sharing. I know all too well how people don't get it. But it's great you got your system as quiet as it is. Needless to say, the power conditioner did wonders for my system (more to come)

    Do you have fans on top of your amps and pre-amps? If not, I suggest keeping the TV console doors open.

    • @TruTechnoGamer
      @TruTechnoGamer  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't have fans, but the cabinet is open in the back and have vent on the top and bottom of each shelf. So it's good.

      @@TruTechnoGamer Question, is there a huge difference between playback of a HiFi Rose player vs an AV RECIEVER?

    • @TruTechnoGamer
      @TruTechnoGamer  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@taseti4803 If you mean using your AV Receiver as a source for digital music, than yes the Hifi Rose is a world of difference in terms of quality. Again, the higher your system performs the more likely you are to hear the difference so again mileage may vary. But there isn't a receiver out there that can match the build quality and electronics for digital music streaming of the RS 130 IMO.

    How’s it going? After getting back into car audio, I wanna start a home audio system. Not necessarily home theater, really just music.
    What should I look for in a receiver/amplifier? Probably need less than 500W, maybe half.

    • @TruTechnoGamer
      @TruTechnoGamer  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Very open ended question. Lots of variables there. Not to cop out but in light of not really having enough info to specify a product, I'd encourage you to check out my video on amplifier power ratings here: th-cam.com/video/7HwIzD4kIE4/w-d-xo.html

      @@TruTechnoGamer Thanks, I’ll check it out. Maybe a set of towers and a sub. A center channel is possible if I decided to bring in theater
      I see packages, but I’d like to start with the receiver, and build.
      Again, I’ll check the video.

    At some point, hobbyists in this space will realize endgame is actually a properly designed room. We have all have some compromises, but many make the mistake chasing endgame gear when fixing the room is the ultimate goal, as it's weak link. And no gear will mitigate that.

  • @Linkone7
    @Linkone7 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Congratulations on the new gear. I also upgraded my power conditioner from a Panamax M5400 to Furman IT- REF I5I and I fell it made a difference.
    I currently use an IFI Stream as my streamer but I'm also looking to upgrade.

    Don’t go the power cable upgrade route. It has bee proven these differences are not audible. TH-camr Audioholics has done reviews.

    • @TruTechnoGamer
      @TruTechnoGamer  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I've seen those videos. Audioholics have gone out of their way to displute all cable as having a measurable difference. I've even seen their speaker cable analysis which was pretty tough on Audioquest for example. That said, plenty of other accounts have said they do make a difference and I've actually heard several demos where it absolutely made a difference. It really just depends on your setup and equipment as mileage may vary. That's why I refuse to go too far and spend crazy money on the cables.

    • @Antibackgroundnoise
      @Antibackgroundnoise 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, that's coming from the same guy who states "cables don't make a difference"
      Sometimes it's better to tell the listeners what they want to hear rather than what they 'need' to hear. It's a tactic huge channels tend to use!
      Personally I would rather take advice from an avid two channel music listener then someone who's learnt their trade from sitting in front of a monitor.

      Copper is copper, a lot of this after market stuff is BS. Once you get your equipment enjoy Audioholics was correct $500 cables won’t do anything but inflate your ego. Don’t go down the crazy rabbit hole. 9:36
