It’s been 16 days since my girlfriend of 5 1/2 years called things off . I was honestly shocked at first because I felt like we were perfect for each other but looking back I understand why she split . Now I feel like it’s easy fixes for both of us but who knows what’s next . She said she’s certainly not saying we’ll never be back together but both of us have lost sights of our own self care 🤷. Today makes 4 days no contact and this shit is tough lol . I have done more to better myself in the last 2 weeks than the last 4 years though so maybe it’s for the best. I’m slowly having acceptance for whatever happens

I was definitely co dependent on her for my happiness in an unhealthy way . I’m a recovering addict , I’ve been sober since 2018 but my addiction tendencies still come out and I see that’s what happened . I smothered her to much at times and was constantly looking for more and more affection . I couldn’t see what she was giving me was more than enough . They say it takes dramatic measures sometimes to change for the better and I’d say that’s why . Getting dumped flooded my mind with everything I was doing wrong . It was a reality check
Don’t worry about it, it gets better when she’ll reach out to you intermittently over the next year telling you that you’re not friends and that she doesn’t love you. Then to rub salt in the wound, she will continue to remind you that she doesn’t love you but that she still cares about you and misses you and then she’ll say that she loves you, but isn’t in love with you.

Day 38 no contact. Hyper focused on personal growth and have made many significant changes. We broke up after a fight. We had a great relationship honestly, both admitted it was our best ever and extremely healthy. Even though I miss her like crazy, I am accepting the break up and becoming extremely disciplined doing things even if I don’t want to everyday. I won’t lie, I hope she wakes up and realizes what we had, but I am not in control of her decisions or actions. I am only in control of me and I am leveling up several levels.

I was doing so good just grinding in life leveling up but I randomly was thinking about her and counted the days and looked her up on socials ( I don't use socials ) and found out she got engaged right after we broke up. So that really hurt but I guess nothing changes . I just have to keep grinding doing me
