Hello from പാലക്കാട്. I am Prof Dr. Joseph Varghese. We r planning to come to Velankanni on sept 2023, 16th or Sept 2023, 23rd, booked room in Picnic on 16th and Sea Gate on 23rd. From Palakkad, the best road and comfortable road to Velankanni is not via പൊള്ളാച്ചി, i prefer Coimbatore, Sulur, kangayam, palladam, karur, trichy, tanjore, mannargudi, Velankanni.....

Karur to trichy through kavery riverside road. This takes more time due to heavy traffic and uncontrolled trucks.
Better road is pollachy, udumalpettu, pazhani odanchatram, dindigul to trichy. Take trichy bypass through pongudy and carry forward to tanjavur. From vallom you got exit to tanjavur and Mannargudi, Thiruthiraipoondi then Velankanni.
If you have time please visit brihridheeswara temple at tanjavur. It's amazing.

@sillumbinu9194 no, my father in law. Once u take the Bye Pass road, its all straight straight roads, large roads, stretch and good for car and good for the people inside. I know Toll is there, but Its a bit relaxing. I asked my Father in law to come back via the road that i told, he said "the road is good by far standards, and they are big too" . I normally go via that, from പാലക്കാട് town area the Pollachi roads are a bit narrower എന്ന തോന്നല്‍, but thats the reality too sir
